After coming off backorder sometime yesterday evening I now have a fedex tracking number. Shipped this morning from Texas and will be here tomorrow. Thankful that this is finally over.

32gb, black, 1406 order number, 9/14 at 2:07am central and no processing issues. Received an email stating 9/21 delivery.
 
For those of you that have shipped, when did you get your Iphone CSS email. I just got mine, but i've yet to receive shipping notification.
 
So, same order group as mine, same phone as the one I ordered, except you ordered 1.5 hours after I did (and accepted the TOS at the time I ordered). Yet yours is on its way, or maybe even in your hands, while mine remains in back order hell. Oh how I love AT&T . . .

The AT&T store near work had the phone in stock today. Same color, same size, same network. I left work and flew over there, all while on the phone w/ AT&T trying to cancel. No cancel. Manager won't cancel. Retentions tell me I can't cancel. Love, love, love AT&T.

i'm sorry to hear that man. yeah, i have the phone in hand now. hope you get yours soon!
 
Ordered 2 16's via premier on 9/19 and still in BO status. I was able to accept the terms right away. I have a 10101006X order number FWIW.

I ordered iphone by phone, somehow I got two order numbers.

9/17: EXTP889983: Backorder changed to "0" 9/25;
9/19: EXTP889985: Backorder still "1"

EXTP orders shipped. Getting them 9/27(tomorrow). Just a little over 24 hours from backorder to shipped. Again I ordered 9/14 @ 7:59am and 8:03am PDT.

LOL I know, right? I only laugh to keep from crying. Annoying. Slowest one I've seen. I'm encouraged at backorder = 0 though.

I wouldn't be nearly this anxious, but I went scuba diving with my 4s on August 23rd and my handy-dandy driSuit case popped a massive leak at 80 feet :p Thought was "I may as well wait and get a new one". LONG WAIT!!!!!!!

Well if you're off backorder, You should get it soon! I ordered through an internal agent who handles the employee fulfillment program, she did good cause the order was placed same day.

I have been following this thread religiously lol
 
I'm inclined to agree with RetroActive on this one. It's been stated many times in this thread that phone orders get the terms and conditions email and online orders, at least through the regular site, require you to accept when you ordered. Seems like you called over a non-issue, just to "check" and because the reps were confused you feel as though you're entitled to compensation. AT&T has done nothing outside of what was expected in relation to your phone yet you think you deserve a credit.

If you ordered within the first couple of hours, received a 9/21 email and then never got your phone it would be a different story. Even if people who ordered after you are posting about their phones AT&T is within their window and it's been clearly articulated in this thread that it is not strictly first come first serve as to the time you placed the order. It's hilarious that you think you're entitled in the context of this thread because there are many people who were promised a phone on 9/21 and never got one. You, sir, are not part of that group.

Edit: I should add however that if AT&T is willing to give you a credit like that then it's on them. It's more the issue that you feel that you deserve it, not that you actually received it. I can't fault you for actually getting the credit.

My iPhone 5 has shipped.

I just received the confirmation email with a tracking number. I will give a brief rundown in hopes of possibly helping some of you.

- I ordered my black 16GB via the AT&T website on September 15th at approximately 4:00 AM. I received the appropriate email for doing so.
(Order # 1612XXXXXXXX)

- I did not hear anything about my order until this morning (September 26th) at around 5:00 AM. The email dealt with me and my "new" service with AT&T. As soon as I received this email I figured I would look at my "order status" page. to my surprise, I was removed from back-order.

- I just received my "Your New iPhone 5 Has Shipped" email at 10:10 AM.

- I checked out my "order status" page again and it has been shipped via FedEx with a delivery date of tomorrow (September 27th). The only activity on my FedEx tracking page is that it has been "picked up" in Fort Worth Texas. I live in Pennsylvania.

I hope I was able to clarify some things, as well as give a few of you hope. I was expecting my phone October 4th or later.
 
What is appalling to me is that AT&T is now filling orders placed after 9/14 when lots of us who placed orders before the preorder cutoff on 9/14 are still stuck on backorder. I got an email that clearly said I would receive the iPhone on 9/21 subject to availability, and in the absence of that, orders would be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. AT&T clearly isn't honoring that promise.

Customer service claims they have no control or information regarding individual orders. At least that's what they told me. It seems as though they claim those times based on whatever number of business days are left from when you ordered. I was told my phone had a shipping date of October 4th but she then clarified and said it could always ship before that as well. Basically the reps know next to nothing.

It ain't over until it's in your hand!

Let's hope you haven't jinxed me. I will hold you personally responsible if anything goes wrong now, haha.
 
Its Finally Here!!!

I am soooo glad!!!! I ordered mine in store on 16th, around 5 PM and was given 14-21 weeks window. I had requested it be shipped to store and just now got the email that my phone has been delivered to the store, ready for me! Going to get off work early today and rush to the store to gt the phone!!! Yay!!!!
Just so you know, my order was for 16 GB White iphone 5 - order no. starting with XW120.

Usually they arrive much earlier than this of course, so I'm on pins and needles as I wait. So glad this nightmare is over. The goods are finally set to arrive. :D

What happens to you guys getting your cancelled AT&T packages? If anything, I assumed you would benefit from paying for two subsidized phones. Or is AT&T adding on the unsubsidized price to your bill (I don't really see how that's possible)?

Dont the phones auto activate.

Sweetness! I'm glad this transaction is almost over. Once it's complete I'll be ordering from Apple for the release after the next iPhone. Never going the AT&T route again!!
