Ditto here - placed premier order around 1:30pm on 9/14, order status date shows 9/16. But sweet baby jesus, sometime in the past hour my backorder quantity changed from 1 to 0. First movement of any kind I've seen in a week (I got some random order acknowledgement email last Wednesday). So hopefully those of us in this 9/14->9/16 premier group are finally making some progress.

64gb black, by the way.

...and the tracking info just appeared within the last two hours. Delivery tomorrow. Finally. So, my timeline (just as an FYI for others in the same Premier boat):


9/14 1:30pm EDT - placed order, received email acknowledgement instantly

9/16 - listed as the "date ordered" per the order status site (though business site shows correct date of 9/14); status listed as backordered = 1

9/19 - received generic "thanks for placing your Premier order" email, no useful info

9/26 somewhere between 12am and 1am EDT, status changed from backordered = 1 to backordered = 0

9/26 somewhere between 9am and 11am EDT - status changed to shipped, Fedex tracking# listed on order status site

9/27 - estimated delivery date


So, ultimately, only a few hours in the purgatory of "backordered = 0 but not yet shipped" status. Incidentally, I have yet to receive an email indicating shipment. And status on the business site (https://www.wireless.att.com/business/order_status/index.jsp?) is still listed as "processing". In fact, the "cancel preorder" button is still there...tempted to click it just to see what happens...

Anyway, I think this is good news for Premier orders placed on 9/14 but not processed until 9/16. I know there are a few of you out there. Good luck to all.
 
At long last, my phone is coming! I'm running to the living room window every time I hear a truck in the area, lol. It's arriving courtesy of FedEx, and the delivery window is until 3PM. Usually they arrive much earlier than this of course, so I'm on pins and needles as I wait. So glad this nightmare is over. The goods are finally set to arrive. :D

Same here. Usually Fedex arrives 8am, but of course NOT TODAY with my Iphone 5 lol!

I finally called and asked to speak to a manager 'cause I wasn't having anymore of their crap.

Basically there was nothing they could do to help me.

For whatever reason though I ordered the 14th & have a confirmation email & everything... their website says I ordered the 17th & accepted the terms & conditions the 18th...

So pretty much I'm going to be in backorder hell forever.

And all they were willing to do was credit $25.

Just wondering if any other 32gb Black iphone people are on backorder....I am noticing that people with 16/64 are getting shipping info but I have had no such luck. Ordered on 14th, but my order page says 16th...guess it will be another day of refreshing the status page and hoping to see it change to 0. :(
 
I ordered early on 9/15 and wasn't at all anxious about this process until I started to see people here who ordered after me start getting shipping notifications. I try to stay positive though and just hope that's a good sign for me. I checked once 3 hours ago when I got up to pee and now the order status site is down. Now I'm getting even more anxious. Order date 9/15 ... 1612 ... :(

I'm inclined to agree with RetroActive on this one. It's been stated many times in this thread that phone orders get the terms and conditions email and online orders, at least through the regular site, require you to accept when you ordered. Seems like you called over a non-issue, just to "check" and because the reps were confused you feel as though you're entitled to compensation. AT&T has done nothing outside of what was expected in relation to your phone yet you think you deserve a credit.

If you ordered within the first couple of hours, received a 9/21 email and then never got your phone it would be a different story. Even if people who ordered after you are posting about their phones AT&T is within their window and it's been clearly articulated in this thread that it is not strictly first come first serve as to the time you placed the order. It's hilarious that you think you're entitled in the context of this thread because there are many people who were promised a phone on 9/21 and never got one. You, sir, are not part of that group.

Edit: I should add however that if AT&T is willing to give you a credit like that then it's on them. It's more the issue that you feel that you deserve it, not that you actually received it. I can't fault you for actually getting the credit.


Totally agree with what you are saying, however this wasn't my situation. I ordered in store, and signed TA in the store, as many others did. Never did I say I expected my phone 9/21. My email said to expect 14/21 business days. I called because some TA agreements were never processed, so I called to double check? How is being thorough a fault? Three hours later, I was appalled at AT&T customer service.. I was TOLD by 2 csr that my terms and agreements did not go through. I did not enjoy this waste of my time, so I asked what they could do for me, they offered me 5,000 rollover min (I have over 10k rolling already). I instead asked for $100. Ask, and you shall receive.

I placed the order on 9/14 and was not processed until 9/17.

I checked last night and it was off of backorder, but I still have not received a tracking # or anything.

$25!? Dude, Speak to Customer Retention Specialist.. I got $300 credited to me because I wouldn't hang up. LOL

Hang in there. Mine was ordered on the 14th and didn't push through until the TWENTY FIRST!!!!!! That's 21st! Cam off backorder last night. Seems like their system is pretty worthless on giving valid info right up until you have a tracking number from a carrier who THEN gives valid information. lol

Just from the last three-four pages of this thread it seems like a lot of us are waiting on 32GB Black iPhone 5s. Hopefully they find a palette full of them that they missed somewhere.......... :(
