I got order confirmation email, processing email, and processing text.

Ordered at 2:03AM Central Time.

My order status is still "in progress", tracking number "pending shipment", and still on backorder...

HOPING FOR A CHANGE SOON!
 
Ordered 9:26 AM EST

I ordered on 9/14 at 9:26 EST (not Premier) and received an email right away that my order would arrive on 9/21. Then I received a text message about 4 hours later stating that my order was processed

I just checked ATT's order status page, and status has gone from "Processing" to "In Progress", but Back Ordered Quantity is 1, and Tracking Number is "Pending Shipment"

The Cancel button has reappeared on the Premier Order status page. Normal order status page is 'In Progress' and backordered 1 still

My Cancel button has reappeared on the Premier order status page as well. The last time that happened was right before it switched from Pending to Preorder Processing, so could this indicate that it's about to move on to the next stage?
 
I ordered through premier ~8:10pt, received order confirmation email and nothing else.

Overnight status in the email link went from pending>processing>preorder processing. And the order now appears on the regular att site.

This bodes well, I think.
 
AT&T rep advised me that if you ordered a 64GB you have a much better chance of receiving it on the 21st because those are the least ordered.

AT&T reps usually say a bunch of BS but I'm hoping that is true.
 
so here's my situation- i ordered a 32GB black iPhone 5 at around 11:55pm right before it went officially on sale for pre order at midnight. for some reason the AT&T website let me through. I could not type in my email for some reason, but received an order number and a shipping estimate of 9/21. I called AT&T at 7:30am on 9/14 to see if I could give them an email so I could complete the order. They said they'd have to cancel the order and do it again in order to properly enter my email. I reordered the iPhone over the phone, and got the "your order has been processed" text at 9:48am on Friday and I accepted my terms and conditions at 8:19am. My confirmation email shows a shipping estimate of 14-21 days. Do you guys think I'll get mine on Friday or Saturday? My status page says quantity backordered and the order status is in progress.

Side note- its very annoying AT&T wont let you change the shipping address. I am a student and no longer live at the billing address, and my family will be away while if the phone is delivered during those Oct. dates...

Sorry to get everyones hopes up!!! I really do appologize. I was going off of memory that it worked with the Iphone4S release. i have come to grips that I handed out bad information.

I know, I had set my alarm for 2:45 but ended up waking up at 1:30 so I was up for quite a while waiting to order. Then of course after ordering I had a hard time going back to sleep and the whole day dragged at work.
 
AT&T Order

I ordered my AT&T iPhone just before they switched the delivery time from 9/21 to 14-21 days. My order wasn't moving for quite some time. But this morning, the status updated to "processing." My credit card has also been charged for the phone. Am I correct that they don't charge for the phone until it is ready to ship? Anyone else in the same boat?
 
Ordered at 4 AM EDT on Friday. Got the confirmation email, processing email, and processing completed text message. Order status still shows "quantity backordered 1"

Bump. Quantity Backordered just went to 0. Looks like they're packaging them right now, hopefully to ship out tomorrow.
 
I was able to get a 32gb iphone 5 through att, then i put the wrong credit card info for my 64gb, so i reordered through att and that one got through along with a email confirmation. minutes later, i get an email confirmation for the 1st order for the 64gb using my same phone number (att said it was eligible again). I tried ordering 64gb on another phone that got the 32gb and it got through again with email confirmation. all priced at 399 for 64gb and 299 for 32gb. Ummm... yeah... 3 64gb iphone 5 and 1 32gb iphone 5 all confirmed by email

--- system glitch on upgrades?

Probably more likely that AT&T notified Apple as to how many they need for their 9/21 delivery date preorders, and Apple approved/released them to AT&T for shipping.

I don't think that this batch of phones are shipping out of AT&T warehouses at all.
 
Do any of ya'll have a shipping date somewhere online on AT&T's website? The only place I have a shipping date is on my order confirmation e-mail.

I ordered at 4PM though and it's still backordered.
 
I just ordered my phone 09/16 @ 4:25 PM THROUGH APPLE. When I tried AT&T it took to a page that I didn't want to order what they wanted me to order. The monthly charge for warranty and support. To buy it through Apple is less money and less hassle when and if someting happens. (I learned from the past) Also order the Good Care Plus throu Apple and an extra adapter.

I finally figure out the real issues why ATT Premier users are not getting our phones as fast as anyone else..It is 100% AT&T Premier FAULT!!

If you check thru your confirmation email and ATT Premier site, it will show that you ordered on 9/14 at whatever time you ordered- BUT obviously your order then goes all the way through the AT&T WIRELESS SITE:

When you check your status that way, for all you Premier customers, note the date that it shows ordered in the system!!! It shows 9/15. So although we ordered on the 14th, it did not actually go to inventory orders until the 15th which puts us all DEAD LAST and is the reason that we BUSINESS CUSTOMERS will not get our phones until MID OCTOBER (and many were told that if you order the 64 White which I did, you would get it right away!)

NOW WE CAN ALL GO SCREAMING AT PREMIER THAT BUSINESS CUSTOMERS GOT SCREWED!

Apple charges the same as the carriers.

There is no difference if buying from Apple or a carrier. If you have a problem with the iPhone, you take it to Apple for support. It doesn't matter where you originally bought it.

Now as to what happened to your order on AT&T's site.....who knows, but I bet you could have skipped or said "No thanks" to the AT&T warranty and support items.

There is no such thing as "Good Care Plus". I think you mean AppleCare Plus.

NOPE! i ordered my wifes iphone 5 at 830am on the 14th and it shows up as such on the att order site. I ordered my 4S last year and it bumped it up a day on the ATT site as well but I still recieved it on release day. How ever, I ordered my Iphone5 at like 330pm on the 14th and it shows that I ordered it on the 16th (thats today) but shows "pending shipment" on the other att order status page.
