A few posts up shows someone that still has 1 under qty back-ordered and since they ordered 3 minutes into pre-orders, they obviously weren't premier.

Yes, that was me. Anyone else ordered really early and still showing 1 under backorder?

im still showing 1 back ordered and i ordered at 2:59 EST 9/14, confirmation at 3 AM EST exactly. charge on my card, but it says preorder processing on premiere tracking with the cancel preorder button that reappeared and on att regular status tracking it says in progress pending shipment

just checked my order status, im no longer back ordered, it says 0, processing and pending shipment

Ok basically the same thing with me. Cause i got into the website a little earlier before 2AM CST. I have the charge on my card and in progress pending shipment status....this is making me nervous that my backorder is still up!

How did you just check? ATT Order Status is under maintenance.
 
I finally figure out the real issues why ATT Premier users are not getting our phones as fast as anyone else..It is 100% AT&T Premier FAULT!!

If you check thru your confirmation email and ATT Premier site, it will show that you ordered on 9/14 at whatever time you ordered- BUT obviously your order then goes all the way through the AT&T WIRELESS SITE:

When you check your status that way, for all you Premier customers, note the date that it shows ordered in the system!!! It shows 9/15. So although we ordered on the 14th, it did not actually go to inventory orders until the 15th which puts us all DEAD LAST and is the reason that we BUSINESS CUSTOMERS will not get our phones until MID OCTOBER (and many were told that if you order the 64 White which I did, you would get it right away!)

NOW WE CAN ALL GO SCREAMING AT PREMIER THAT BUSINESS CUSTOMERS GOT SCREWED!

Because being a business person makes you more important. Sup Romney.
 
Premier will be delivered 10-4 to 10/12. My cousin works for ATT and he told me. I got the heads up NOT to ored from the premier site, or id be screwed. Looks like he is right.
Although Premier orders have no "priority" they are thrown into the same order queue as everyone else, i.e. regular web orders, telesales, retail store orders.

Except for the the fact that I ordered through premier and it shows my date as 9/14..... relax dude, this happens every launch and every launch I have ended up getting my phone on time. Kick back, grab a beer, watch some football, enjoy your Sunday and the rest of the week and have fun with your phone on friday.
 
If you ordered prior to 12pm EST you are almost guaranteed to get your phone Friday. The closer to that deadline you are the more of a risk you have of being delayed a week.

I've got an AT&T order from 12:19pm currently in processing and funds have been withdrawn. And now I wait to see if I'm one of the chosen ones...
 
Well this is odd..and kinda stupid

I placed my ATT pre order for 1 iphone5 16gb around 10:50am Eastern on the 14th.

Today I checked and now have TWO pending charges of $199.

right now on ATT it says "Status: Preorder Processing" with the cancel button available to click.

Sadly I can't contact ATT till tomorrow because it's a premier account and their office is closed today...

I have no idea if i'll get to see my phone soon :(

anyone else have a similar situation???

I just got through speaking to AT&T, because I ordered my right at 7am EST and my status had not changed at all. This is what I was told:

Gabrielle: Orders placed before 9:00AM Pacific(12:00PM EST) on 9/14/12 will ship by 9/21/12. Orders placed after this time, will ship in 14-21 business days.

Gary: OK. Thank you. Is there any particular reason it isn't updating online? I had heard from numerous people that had gotten the info you gave me, but quite a number are still just showing processing.

Gabrielle: Orders are currently showing processing being that the next status change would be "Shipped".

Gabrielle: Because orders have not shipped, the status will not change.

Not sure why some people are getting different status, but hopefully this clears things up for some of you who haven't seen a change in your status, like me.

The status can only change from In Progress -> Shipped.
 
Just out of curiosity, for those who have had progress on your credit cards, is your charge "pending" or has it actually gone through?

Yeah. Apparently Premiere customers only get Processing and Shipped. Mine does not even say In Progress, just Processing.
 
I'm sorry if this is a repeat question, i tried to search and didn't see anything...I preordered via premier Friday at about 630AM eastern time...card was charged today, shows preorder processing, have cancel preorder button available (on the order status page via link sent in premier email), called the 877-782-8870 order status number, says on backorder, as does the order status page via this link https://www.wireless.att.com/order_status/# .....what I just noticed is my order number on my premier status page is DIFFERENT than the order number that shows on the AT&T order status page. I'm not concerned about when it will get here, i'm just curious if anyone knows if the order number changes once the premier orders are in sync with the regular AT&T site because my order date is showing today (16th) on the regular AT&T page rather than the 14th when I placed the order.

also want to add, you guys doing a great job trying to ease everyone through all this pre-order chaos!

There is a lot of misinformation in this thread. I don't have time to correct it all but I will say this- if you ordered prior to 12pm EST you are almost guaranteed to get your phone Friday. Bottom line- if you ordered well in advance of the deadline you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

I wish you were correct...but again was confirmed today (twice) and yes they do answer phone even though it says M-F, that I will not receive for at least 14 days. I am Premier, I ordered at 7:15 a.m. EST and got email confirm immediately. I am still showing back ordered on one site. AT&T said it was in process and shows 14 days. My CC not charged. Also said only some customers have to sign terms & conditions but could not tell who and I was not one of them.

lol. the good ol "my cousin worked at ATT." This thread confirmed that all CS and instore reps don't know anything. I guess your cousin doesn't know anything. ;)

If you're a legit premier customer then you can ONLY order through the premier site. Im sure your cousin gave you some secret website that guarantees delivery the 19th right?

My card was immediately authorized after placing my order over the phone. It has a date of tomorrow, the 17th for the hold to drop or the charge to be pushed through. If the charge is allowed to drop I will be convinced that getting the phone on the 21st isn't going to happen. However, if AT&T pushes the completed charge through then I think the phone is close to shipping.

If anyone has a pending charge on their card (like I do), it won't change until Monday. Charges don't tend to show up on weekends (unless they are pending charges).

Plus, AT&T specifically stated that you won't be charged until your order has shipped.
