I finally figure out the real issues why ATT Premier users are not getting our phones as fast as anyone else..It is 100% AT&T Premier FAULT!!
If you check thru your confirmation email and ATT Premier site, it will show that you ordered on 9/14 at whatever time you ordered- BUT obviously your order then goes all the way through the AT&T WIRELESS SITE:

When you check your status that way, for all you Premier customers, note the date that it shows ordered in the system!!! It shows 9/15. So although we ordered on the 14th, it did not actually go to inventory orders until the 15th which puts us all DEAD LAST and is the reason that we BUSINESS CUSTOMERS will not get our phones until MID OCTOBER (and many were told that if you order the 64 White which I did, you would get it right away!)
NOW WE CAN ALL GO SCREAMING AT PREMIER THAT BUSINESS CUSTOMERS GOT SCREWED!

You're wrong. It takes awhile for Premier's site to sync with the regular site, that's all. You're reading too much into the "9/15" date, it's simply when your order started showing on the regular site. When you get your phone on Friday (provided you ordered before the cutoff) you won't remember but I'm the guy that said I told you so.

That's not true, I ordered mine at 615am ET on the 14th as a Premier customer and all the dates show 14th for me. I got the email instantly too.
Is anyone who ordered through Premier seeing "0" under backordered on the regular AT&T status website? Mine is still showing "1." The Premier status page shows "Preorder Processing" with the option to cancel.
Hopefully you will remember the guy that told you he ordered a black 16gb Iphone5 at about 330pm and still recieved it on the 21st. Im pending shipment right now. I ordered my 4S last year at about 230pm and still got it on release day.
i have a 1 under backorder unfortunately. looks like the people that ordered from att the first 30 minutes have that coveted 0. lol.
Same here. I knew it was in Attention status, tried to call all day. Finally got thru, then they couldn't help because system was down.
Will call tomorrow, but if they tell me I've lost my spot in the queue b/c of this, I'll cancel and go camp out on Friday. And I might just switch to Verizon because AT&T is just so darn stupid. They gave me a $150 credit to upgrade; I wonder if they'll be swift enough to take it back if I leave, or will it apply to my ETF?
My guess is that they are so clueless, they'll have no idea. I work in IT, see and talk to a lot of tech support and sales reps. I've never seen a company as inept and indifferent to its customers as Big Blue. Their reputation as the worst company in the business is well-deserved.
Today's update: 8:30 AM central, a half hour after they opened, I started calling. Stayed on hold for 90 minutes. No one ever answered.
Posted multiple angry tweets at the @attcustomercare account, and the @ATTTeamTrevor account, supposedly on duty 1-10PM today. No answer.
Was out most of the day, didn't get another chance to call 'til about 3PM central, 4PM eastern. Premier customer care line should have been open for another hour -- yet I got a message basically to the effect of "we're closed, sorry, no one can help you now."
Such morons. I've never seen a company so indifferent to its customers.
So I'll try again tomorrow, around Rosh Hashanah services (just what I want to be doing on one of the holiest days of the year, calling AT&T!) But if they can't resolve this, and if they can't assure me I'm still in the first shipment (which I doubt), I'm done with them.
I'll go pick it up in person at either the Apple Store or a Verizon store on Friday, and as I said above, AT&T is so stupid, I'm sure they won't even notice that the $150 credit they gave me is being applied to an ETF.
Sorry, supervisor at Premier has stated that my delivery date in my system is showing 10/4 to 10/18 and I am truly back ordered. No charge to my credit card or anything.

All premier orders will eventually be backordered, no matter what time they were ordered. The premier folks will get their phones 10/4-10/12

What time did you order on the 14th?
Did you happen to have CC authorization issues? Authorization issues bump you back to the end of the line.
I ordered as soon as the Premier website came up at 6:08am eastern on the 14th. My date on both Premier and the regular ATT website shows the 14th as the order date. CC has been charged, although it still shows 1 as qty back-ordered, but it doesn't appear all of the first shipments have gone to 0 qty back-ordered yet.
You are not going to jump the AT&T ship, quit whining. You'll get your phone between 10-4 and 10-12
Okay so it seems like everyone that ordered by premium still has the 1 on the QTY-BACKORDERED while everyone else has it back down to 0. Most likely it seems the people who ordered on the regular site early will have their orders shipped out first.
