Came off backorder Saturday, 9/22, night. No shipping yet.
Just love this quote from the confirmation email:
I'm not frustrated by the delay but by the fact they *clearly* are not going on a first come first served basis even among just store orders.
Maybe they mean first come, first served for a 6'3" customer ordering in Minnesota between 12:50 and 12:55 at the Roseville store. Yeah, that's the ticket!

Yo. Sympathizing with all the delayed folks out here. Sadly, this pre-order fiasco won't be nearly as press-worthy as the new Maps app debacle.
Placed my order for 64GB-Blck at 5am EST 9/14 through AT&T Premier.
-AT&T went ahead and cancelled my order without notifying me, due to some social security number mixup.
--After repeated calls, many wasted minutes, replaced my order, got sent to the back of the queue as a 9/18 order. Estimated shipping date: 14-21 days. According to CSR: "Between Oct 8-17th"
---Am now in "Pending Shipment as an EXPT8899. 0 Backorder, 0 Shipped. What does that mean?

My backorder status, as of yesterday, went to "0", but still says pending shipment.
If they can ship it out today with a delivery of Friday, that'd be awesome as I am leaving next week for a trip.
it means you should be getting a shipping confirmation in the next 12 hours or so with tracking number

IF att are processing on a first come first serve basis i dont get why they dont make their order numbering system more simple so we can just identify where we are in the line of many orders they have.

so when I see the 1 under quantity back ordered slot drop to 0, I should be expecting a tracking # ?
So, just a question for the people that, though they ordered the 14th (as I did), they were pushed back... why is this so?
In my case, I had no problems whatsoever. There was nothing that could cause my order to get pushed back by 3 days.
When I called to talk a a CSR they basically didn't believe me that I had ordered the 14th because it showed them I did on the 17th... I have an email from the 14th.
So why the eff did this happen???

Just got off of the phone w/att. The csr stated that only those who pre-ordered before 11am on 9/14 are 'first come first serve', any orders after the 11am cutoff are shipped based on proximity, basically they are getting phones to people who are closest to the warehouses.
Not that I really believe what ANY att employee says, but its not like ANYONE on here believes att's first come *************.
Has anybody who ordered on 9/15 gotten their iPhone 5s yet? If no have you been taken out of back order?
