For my order on 9/16 for 16 GB WHT, mine came off BO early morning today and it was shipped via UPS 2nd day air around 4:30 PM from TX.

The most amazing thing is: AT&T emailed me to notify about the shipment. Have to admit, I was impressed! Not bad AT&T, not bad!

I hope I see it on Thursday, or latest by Friday.
 
New here, but been reading posts for a while. Happy for all of you that got shipping info and such today!

For me, after a series of promises and disappointments in getting ahold of an iPhone 5 (since I'm on a business account and can't get one through Apple), I finally decided to just order one in an AT&T store Sept. 30th. I know I won't get it for a few weeks, but just excited to finally have one officially reserved for me.
 
My phone just left Memphis via a FedEx flight! Anyone remember how to track flights haha. Should be in new jersey in a few hours on the truck by morning delivery tomorrow. Thank you baby jesus that this is over.

Just waiting for wife's shipping info she came off BO today.

Lol nevermind mine went back to Memphis 17 minutes later? Lol.

So it has been I have been off of backorder for about 76 hours now.

Still no shipping information.

16GB White iPhone 5.

Flargh me. I just want my phone (as do we all).

Why is it all of a sudden this backorder process is taking forever... when everyone else got it in mere hours.

FML.

Same here, about 76 hours off of backorder; 16GB Black ordered 9/17. I also want to get my phone already.

early on the times were 24 hours or so, (mine was 24 hrs) but I'm seeing a trend of longer wait times from BO release...

White 16gb and I think lady said the 20th
 
Ordered in store at AT&T on the 9-17
Never said processed or back ordered.
Said "processing" then at 615 today 10/2 it changed to shipment date 10/2. No tracking info.
 
Late Thursday my phone should be delivered. Then my parents need to ship it to me where I am. So maybe sometime late next week I will actually get it.

Fewer and fewer posts in this thread, either the iphone's are being delivered or people have given up hope....

Out of 6 ordered 1 of them just went off backorder, too bad it is not MINE.....

It was a 32gb white, waiting for a 16gb black.

I have hope for a Wednesday release, or sometime this week.
 
Delivered and in hand! Worth the wait. It is awesome. Ordered 9/16 16GB Black. Delivered 10/2.
Applecare+ already ordered and the agreement was already emailed to me!

Ordered over the phone on the 15th the guy said everything looked good and should receive a confirmation email within 20 hours well 3 days passed without one so we called again, and they sent one. The person said nothing changed then all of a sudden my order status said that I ordered on the 20th.
 
Pre-order nightmare...

Hi all,

Wanted to add my story (nightmare).

I pre-order on 9/14 at 6am (local time, Puerto Rico) that's 3am in California. The order when through and got a confirmation e-mail that my iPhone5 will arrive on 9/21. I check my order from my current iPhone in mobile mode and didn’t notice that the order didn’t have the address confirm until 9/20. That’s because when you check on orders in mobile mode on the iPhone it says first in big letters that the order is backorder and will ship when it's available, but if you scroll all the way down, you will not notice the status in little letters that say the order is pending because of address confirmation. So in summary, I lost my turn, never got e-mail informing me that the address was not confirm and my order was push to start turn on 9/20.

To get matters worse, I went on 9/22 to a local at&t store to see if I could get one available unit there. Not a good idea, at&t customer service was the worse and they didn’t event enter my account and see my order. They said if I make my order online, they couldn’t change it or cancel it on store. With that, I call at&t Premier service on the phone and try to change my order from an 16GB white to a 32GB white (upgrade). I was told by the representative that the change could be made and that it was made. That was a lie, because a check my status like crazy the next days after that and the order never change. Contact at&t again, and they could me that the upgrade couldn’t be made and if I wanted to change from a 16GB white to a 32GB I had to wait until my device arrived, not open it and go change it on a local stores near me. Also, that I could cancel my order.

I see now this all pre-order thing is a fiasco, never going to pre-order through at&t again. Got order delay because of insufficient communication, can’t change (upgrade) order even though orders is still pending and hasn’t ship and to make matters worse, can’t cancel is I change my mind.

Today is 10/2, order still in process status and I don’t have a clear idea when my iPhone5 will ship… :mad:
