Yes, I do have tracking info. So I don't think I need to be worried, I just though it was strange that I got that email.
AT&T isn't letting me upgrade till Oct 8th... And Apple shows a expected delivery of 3-4 weeks.. Damn, there's another month with out the phone.

you counted Saturday and Sunday... don't you know even UPS or Fedex are off on Sunday? You made me doubting your IQ... for real... man!
FedEx delivery is off on Sunday. The flights and shipments take place 24/7.

YOUR STUPIDITY! When ATT marked your phone off BO on Saturday... It won't ship it until Monday... and your shipping info won't be available until late Monday or Tuesday and you called that 72 hours????
That's apparently a different situation than people who got off BO on Tuesday... because Att can ship their phones immediately late Tuesday and update shipping info, at latest Wednesday morning!!!

The date it says on that page is the date that it processed. (it says "date ordered" even though you may have made the order earlier)

Mine wasn't available to oct 12. In the store they wouldn't do anything for me. I called 611 spoke to an agent and he put a note in my account to allow me to upgrade. Went right into the store on 9/18 and placed my order. Came off BO yesterday waiting for shipment. Just be persistent and polite. Call several times if you have to. No need to get nasty on here. We're all here for the same reason, we're all waiting for our phones. Complaining out of frustration is one thing but bashing each other over minor details is ridiculous.
Congrats man... I'm still waiting from coming off back order on Saturday with still no shipping information. I have called and get the standard 14-21 days...

Mine processed on the 18th and is due for delivery tomorrow, it went off backorder last night and got it's tracking this morning. It was a 32GB black.
I wouldnt put much stock in anything you heard from an AT&T CSR...
That being said... My 16gb black 9/19 (pushed back from 9/14) order is still on BO.
5 of mine that were ordered on the 14th and processed on the 18th on business premier are off backorder, you should see some movement soon.
He posts 24/7 which makes me feel annoying but I can take that... what I can't tolerate is that he's misleading people...
basically he got off BO on Saturday and did not get shipping info until late Monday... which seems quite normal...right? because getting off BO does not mean the shipment was sent out~ att did not ship anything over weekend so that's normal enough! But over this 72 hours waiting time, he's venting here every 5 minutes on a 24/7 basis... and telling people who got off BO on Tuesday that it will take 72 hours for their iphones to be shipped...which is apparently WRONG!

Stock became available at an Apple store so I cancelled my two AT&T orders (so I won't have an update when they come off backorder). Good luck to everyone waiting and watching!
Yea, I went from not being able to upgrade till March 2013. To being able to upgrade 12 months into my contract which is Oct 8th. I'm happy with that but now I just have to wait for the phones to be available.
