When did you order it? Because who ever was talking to you was an idiot. No one was getting those quotes. Sorry for your disappointment, but there was no way you were going to the phone in 7-10. If you did you would have been one of the luckiest people on this thread.

When did you order it? Because who ever was talking to you was an idiot. No one was getting those quotes. Sorry for your disappointment, but there was no way you were going to the phone in 7-10. If you did you would have been one of the luckiest people on this thread.
Well, except for the twice as fast A6 processor, twice as fast graphics processor, double the RAM (1GB), LTE, faster and dual band WiFi, better rear camera optics, HD Facetime camera and being 30% lighter and thinner, you have a point about it being just a 4S with a 1/2" bigger screen...
Oh good we have a fanboy. Dude it is ok for people to think that it not that much better than the iPhone 4s. I mean just think about it what has really changed since the 3g other than specs. Yes the design has changed some, but it is running on a OS that is 5 years old. The A6 and LTE are the only thing about the OS that you are going to see a bump in. I am not bashing the iPhone cause I pre ordered one, but you have to ask yourself what has really changed. If you have the 4s and don't live in an LTE area which is a lot of people than what is the point? Just some thoughts.

speaking for myself only my white 4S had hands down the worst camera in America!! And it was a product flaw 4 replacements didn't correct it. The front camera on the 5 takes better pics than it did but all that aside its awfully shiny I switched carriers bc I was tired of the bs and lies from AT&T so no LTE yet here but they "say" it'll be up in Dec. either way I watched streaming YouTube with no hiccups on Sprints 3G to test and it'll do. AT&T has 4G here and I also had an android phone with LTE. The net was constantly dragging and slow. But for some it may not be much different from a 4S. The tiny specs matter to some and not others. I didn't go to a 3GS. Wasn't worth it to me but I did go from 4 to 4S because it was a good change that was worth it.... And my 4 went for a swim a week before release lol.

So I wake up this morning and check my order, no surprise I'm still on backorder (16gb, black ordered 9/21). Then I got to looking at my account since my new billing statement was ready. Then I get to thinking I should cancel my insurance on my phone since I know apple will just charge me 199 to replace anyway which is the deductible on the insurance. I know this because I've had to do it with my 3G and my 4 once before works great **** AT&T. So here is the point of my post. While looking through my services I notice that they are effectively cancelling my 3G coverage and upgrading it to the 4g coverage, effective date 11/13. My city has had 4g on AT&T for awhile now so is this date a precursor as to when I will get my device?

Hopefully this thread will begin to die when AT&T gets it's next shipment, because no one has been getting off BO recently. It seems like the people who ordered 32GB both colors that preordered aren't posting anymore.

The iPhone 5 has several upgrades compared to the 4S (I listed some of them including faster and dual band WiFi) and to deny that is simply BS...
You can hate the phone, but stating the 5 is just a 4s with a bigger screen is disingenuous at best. It doesn't take a fanboy to call u out on your BS.

I would think you would get your phone before 11/13! Hopefully that's not what that means. And if you called them, they wouldn't really say anything, just that "of course you will get your phone before November." I ordered around the same time as you and they tell me ship dates 10/11-10/22, with NO LATER than 10/22. Of course if they are wrong, I'm sure you can get the coverage thing straightened out if it starts to come close to 11/13 and you haven't gotten your phone yet. Still a ways to go, I'm sure we'll get our phones by then at least.

I am not sure that I was the first person call the iPhone 5 a bigger 4s. Look at the person that you posted all the specs for the iPhone 5.
The new Samsung commercials ready do hit the nail on the head. Like I said I pre ordered the iPhone 5 and am waiting for it to come. I also realize that since the last iPhone that I have own the iPhone 4 not much has changed. Could you please tell me other than beefed up speed and a better camera what has changed? IOS is not different. Oh wait it has capper maps than before. Oh yea this is such a big difference than the iPhone 4s. This is why I call you a fanboy.
I ordered on the 17th but it didn't go through tell the 19th. Black 32 and black 16 will be here tomorrow.
Came off backorder 10/3 early morning and had shipping info 10/4 around 7:30pm EST.I ordered a black 16gb on 9/18 with ATT in the late afternoon over the phone and still haven't been taken off backorder. Those sleazy buggers!

Faster processor (A6)
Faster graphics processor (upgraded graphics chip)
Double the RAM (1GB)
Faster and dual band WiFi
Faster cellular data (LTE)
Larger display no longer beneath glass now featuring full sRGB coverage
Thinner
Lighter
Ceramic back with stronger glass
Improved front FaceTime HD camera
Improved optics on rear camera
New smaller connector that fits both ways
Improved speaker
Improved noise cancelation (using three mics for noise cancellation instead of two)
Improved and redesigned earbuds
Those are some of the (factual) hardware improvements over the 4S...
If you don't "think" they are enough for you, that's your opinion, but to state there are no improvements beyond the faster processor and a better camera (which btw are HUGE Improvements) is a false statement...

I never said there were no improvements in the new one. But you jumped on the person that said he was keeping his 4s cause it was good enough on ios 6 and was not worth the upgrade. So you decided to jump in and tell us all about specs really don't make a new phone just an upgrade. Like I said before it is just an upgrade not a totally new phone.
Would you like some facts. Ok first ios and ios 6 is there a design difference in the two? Not from what I can see. Next Google maps to apple maps. Well I am not sure if I need to tell you more. Apple just goes the simple rout and it works for most. I am just telling you this is not some ground breaking phone it just is not. If you have an iphone 4s you have plenty of speed and ios 6 if that is an advantage. The new 4 inch display what is the point if you were not going to make it wider. For people that have bigger fingers that still makes it hard to type. What other facts do you need.
You asked me to list the upgrades besides the (much faster) processor and (much better) front camera.
I'll stand by my earlier posts regarding the several improvements of the iPhone 5 over the 4S. If those improvements aren't enough for you (or the other person in this thread), that's up to you.
