ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

Just to add in the differences I notice between my old 4S and my 5 is that the 5 plays video that on my 4S said was unavailable due to flash player. It converts them to QuickTime. I was a lil amazed about that one.
I'm starting to feel guilty that my black 32gb phone was ordered 9/21 and is being delivered tomorrow (10/8)... Shipped less than two weeks after ordered.
As abd410 mentioned I've also cancelled two backordered orders. One guy said it wasn't possible, then I called back and got someone who did it in just a few minutes.
I think their confusion is that once it starts processing for shipping the order can't be cancelled (which happens quickly when they are in stock). They see the "processing" status and don't look at the backorder status.
Very true, they don't know crap about backorder status. When I called and brought up the fact that I'm still on BO, and asking when I'd get off of it etc etc, the guy didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I think after checking our order status so many times and tracking their shipments with what models, we know a lot more than they do at this point!!
I just ordered our second 16gb black 5. No order confirmation on this one after an hour. I'm already nervous, the first one I had order confirmation in minutes.
Same situation they said I couldn't cancel even tho I have been on back order since the 15th and talked to two managers. So I just went to radioshack, bought the phone on my grandpas upgrade, then when the other iphone comes in the mail, return it and get your money back, and phone back on the line the pre order was made on and everything will return to normal. Did it once before and it worked just fine. I got the white 16gb its pretty
Ok so this pisses me off... My order for a black 16 and a black 32 is scheduled for delivery today. As you would expect when I checked the tracking for the 32 it says on truck for delivery. When I checked the 16 however it says returning to sender!!!!! WTF ATT!
Same time as the 32 on the 17th over the phone. Order didn't get processed tell 9/19. Came of Bo 10/3 shipped 10/4.
I'm going to wait tell the 32 shows up just incase ups screwed up the tracking... If it doesn't show all he11 is gonna break loose on ATT!

Does your actual order date show 9/19?? I received my conformation email around 9am EST on the 19th.

I ordered a white 16 and a white 32 on the 1st. The 32 is shipping today. No tracking # yet. I think the 16 will ship too though since its held on my CC as well.
Edit. Tracking # showed up for the 32, 16 shows as processing, should get a # soon. I'm a happy camper.

That is ridiculous! I ordered mine on 9/24 and it's still on BO. I'm now contemplating just canceling my order and sticking with Straight Talk until shipments are caught up.
It's also pretty sad that AT&T is having issues canceling BO too.
Not to sound like a dick but processing doesn't really mean anything, I've been processing since the 21st and am still on backorder. Glad your at least getting the 32 though
No worries. Mine said back order for a day or two, then they both said pending shipment til today. Now one has shipped, both sim cards show shipped, and the phone says processing. I have no reason to think it won't ship out today.
I ordered oct 3rd and I've called in to ask my estimated delivery since its still in backorder and she said my guaranteed delivery is anywhere from oct 21-29.
Maybe they know something about shipping we don't see? I say call and ask, then when they gve you a guarantee deliverey date and it doesn't come within that time frame, then you can go crazy mad. I would.

I called my local AT&T stores, Wal-Marts and Radio Shacks. Waiting till 11am to call a few Targets (that's when the mobile rep shows up). I haven't tried Best Buy but I've always hated calling them.
I found 1 16GB Black at a Walmart but I was really hopping for a 32 or 64.
If all fails I'm going to just order from AT&T's site.
