I know right? I almost did the same thing last Saturday at Walmart, but they only had 16GB as well.

*jealous* :p That's great! Hopefully next time we're able to upgrade, and if we can, we won't be on Macrumors talking about how our orders are on BO and we preorder from Apple or wait in line on launch day :D
 
One of my friend's and I both ordered on 9/23 via customer care. He ordered 5 iPhones. 1 32GB Black and 4 16GB Black.

3 out of 5 of his phones shipped today. 2 out of 5 are no longer on back order.



I ordered 2 iPhones as well. 1 16GB Black and 1 16GB White.

Mine are still on back order as of right now.

Agreed....I know one thing is for sure I will never do it through ATT again. I don't even think I will pre order again. lol My nearest Apple store is two hours away but worth the drive vs waiting this long.
 
Ordered a Blk 16GB on 9/26, still on BO. ATT online CS is not much help, however they will waive upgrade fees for you so at least get them to do that. As for culpability or any idea what they are doing to fix this? yeah.... they just spit out pre-made responses.:mad:
 
I ordered a white 16gb on Sep 19th, and it was processed on Sep 21st. Does anyone know if the 14-21 business days were count starting from the ordered date or the processed date? Also, how do you check if it's still on back order? I have already tried www.wireless.att.com/order_status , but it didn't work. I ordered 3 iphones altogether for myself, my mom (ordered Sep 20th processed Sep 21st), and my sister (ordered 2nd processed 3rd), and I tried to put in the 3 order numbers but none worked. Does that mean none of the iphones is on BO? Thanks very much.

I saw that someone over on the other ATT iphone preorder thread say that their white 16gb 9/20 order is not being shipped now until Nov 2 at the earliest!!!!!! WHAAAAA??? :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I dont think so. U are going to have it a lot earlier. There are so many people who also ordered on the 20th and they are already getting their phone shipped.

Put the phone number u used to upgrade. If they dont appear call AT&T

Really? I haven't seen any white 16gb 9/20 orders getting shipped yet. Or even off BO... :( And technically, I'm 9/21. Seems like it takes them forever to get through 1 order day.

Yeah ur right on that part. Its because apple is putting extra time and work on every single iphone

The 14-21 business days are counted from processed date. We are in the same boat it looks like, with 21st processed date. I'm hoping now that it is really 14-21 business days, it looks like it'll be later... :(

And you should be able to see a backorder column if you look on that status page...

If we count the 21st then you're right, it is 15. Yeah, this is so annoying. When I called a few days ago they told me ship dates of 10/11-10/22, with it being closer to the 11th... which is today... but seeing people who ordered on 19th and 20th still on BO... kind of discouraging... let's keep each other updated!
 
FYI, for those waiting make sure you check your local Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and Radio Shack for stock as well. You can check BB website to verify if any stores around have them. Just providing options, have a good one.

Yeah, the Walmarts around here seem to be getting 1-2 in at a time, mostly 16GB versions. Their website shows 2 locations having them today, so I may drive over and check them out. I couldn't get a full answer when I went the other day as the employee didn't know what was going on or what models was what.
