Ordered 9/24 in AT&T store
pending shipment on 10/3
still on BO currently.
just went to att site to check order status and it says maintenance is going on?
We are on the same boat. Ordered 16GB White on the 24th
Been following this thread for about a week, and it's time to post an update...ordered 2 16gb iphone 5 (one B/one W) on 9/20, processed 9/21. Black one just came off backorder, and hoping the white is not far behind.
Good.....ordered 16gb BLK processed on 9/22. Customer service keeps telling me 10/22-10/31. Hoping it will at least come in next week.
Ordered on 9/20
16gb Black went of BO few hours ago...
16gb White is still on BO
Yeah, it's the whites that are the ones that are not moving.
I have to say that the customer service lady that helped me buy my phone was the most helpful person I have ever had. I don't blame her for the delayed terms and conditions email that never made it to my email. She sent me to the actual site to accept it and she made a note to do that for everyone from then on.
And for those of you who criticize UPS and FedEx for "strange" shipping strategies, try researching what it takes to move millions of packages per day. I'd hate to break it to you, but your package is one of many and it doesn't have priority. Logistics is a unique process and it takes a complex set of algorithms to get a package to a location on time. Try watching Mega Factories: UPS World Port to get an idea.
Now where's my damn phone?

I ordered mine on 10/3 and still can't see the order status online. I have to call and get updates from the automated service. Still backordered, 32GB black model.
Hopefully I'll see movement next week.
EDIT: Actually it says "in progress" now... but I assume that means it's still on backorder.

I'm hoping my phone has better QC. I expected QC problems when I first heard of supply issues. Eek.

Everyone just hold on!! It seems like it took forever, but Fed ex just delivered my phone & believe me...,..IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!!!! # I ordered on 9-14, processed on the 19th. Went off backorder 10/11 & it shipped the same day over night # Hold on you guys.... IT'S COMING SOON!!!!!

Looks like they came off back-order but I still have zeros under shipped. I keep hoping to see Fed Ex appear in the shipping since it seems they will deliver on Saturday.

How do you know they came off back order? Where did you order from? I ordered in store at an AT&T store on 10/01/12 and was told 2-3 weeks. Still on back order. Shipping window opens up on Sunday so I am hoping it will come soon. AT&T chat representative told me 10/19-10/31 shipping dates, so I don't know which set of dates to believe.
