Back ordered CC Auth

My PREMIER order states it's is on back order, but there is an authorization for the full amount.
 
My Premier order status states the following for the iPhone, I assume everyone's should be saying this by now?

"Paid by credit card American Express xxxxxxxxxxx#####"

I am not understanding your question? Right after i ordered my phone i got a text saying they received my order. Now that it is not on backordered i have not received a text or email yet.

I was for the iPhone ordered through Apple, not the one I ordered through ATT. Premier folks will get there's via FedEx.

Well they will only send a text between 8-5pm, or somewhere thereabouts...

I only got one text stating that my order had been processed. That was at 1PM that day after I ordered my phone at 2AM CST.
 
Yes I got email right after I ordered and it referenced my cc but my cc itself never showed it was hit. it was a business Visa.

Hey dude, if you ordered from at&t, there is no way you will get it on sep 21. They will SHIP on that day not deliver. I don't know how are you guys feeling about this, I am definitely pissed off. Won't order from att again, Apple will be the only best way.

This is not true. From my email from AT&T:

Great news – your new iPhone will ship soon!
What happens next:
Your order will arrive on 9/21/12
We’ll send a confirmation email when it’s ready
You can check your order status online anytime
 
Several media outlets saying at&t preorders will be arriving from the 28th- oct 5th. I dont know who to believe, media or the chat rep I just spoke with who said the preorders made before noon EST would be here on the 21st

There are orders from AT&T that already have tracking information tied to them that show delivery by 10:30am or end of business(8:00pm) on 9/21
 
I will be thrilled with ship on 9/21; I am still on back order- ordered on 9/14 at 7 a.m. and got confirmation email at 7:14 a.m. est. No change to my order at all yet. Also, although the confirmation said it charged my VISA, it never accessed it at all! Still does not show pending or anything so I may still be stuck on Oct 4th. Glad all the rest of you Premiers are starting to get action.

Hey, I totally understand your pain. I ordered slightly after you at about 2:35am central and mine still shows backordered. I think we have to be patient as AT&T processes these. Just because ours isn't unbackordered yet doesn't mean we'll miss out. I also didn't get the processed email (I'm a new customer so I didn't get a text) until 1pm or so.

And even if we for some reason do not get ours on release day, there's not much we can do about it now, can we? Just have to be patient... (As I check the status page every hour... lol).

IIRC, that's what they said about the iPhone 4S as well, but I still got it on release day.
 
Just to add some more data points.

I ordered a Black 64G via Premier (oxymoron) at 6:15am PT on the 14th. I only received one confirmation email at 6:20 am PT. The email said my order could arrive 'as early as 21st'. Nice and vague. I received a test charge of $1 on my charge card soon after.

I was adding a third number to my family plan to avoid the early upgrade fees. So I had to do it via the ATT Premier website.

It was very easy to upgrade another iphone on my account via the apple store app just after midnight. Both phones are on my premier account. The apple order is proceeding nicely for a 21'st delivery.

The ATT Premier order just went to backorder 0 about 30 minutes ago. They did a charge for the full phone amount that has yet to clear. They made this charge about three hours ago.

Feeling pretty good about getting both phones on Friday.

FINALLY, someone who is in the same boat as me!

Can we complain to AT&T? Cause this will be frustrating if people who ordered after us get iPhone before us!

You ordered on 9/14 but picture shows 9/16 and not backordered.. this gives me hope!!
 
The ironic thing about all of this is without these forums, none of us would know the status of *others* or that we might be *behind*.

We'd just be waiting for Fedx to show up obsessively refreshing their tracking page...:)

I'm sure there is some kind of doctorate paper opportunity here in human behavior...

Sweet! I ordered mine around the same time through premier, also a black 64gb! Still showing a 1 under back order but if 4 iPhone launches have taught me anything its to keep calm and the phone will arrive on time :p

Yep. that 9/16 date came from when there was activity on my account. I received my third phone number for my family plan, and the order became visible in my personal (non-premier) ATT order page.

Only Apple orders are showing tracking numbers at this time.

In the other thread there have already been screenshots of tracking numbers that were found through the reference and that it was already on its way via ATT
