ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

For Att Premier folks

This is my 3rd pre-order for an iPhone (4, 4s and now 5). This is their MO for Premier. It will show 'processing' maybe up to Thursday. If you ordered early enough last Friday, you'll receive it on time. This is exactly what occurred the last two pre-orders.
 
Will they charge me if I cancel my pre order I made in the AT&T store ? I would rather stand in line and get mine on Friday .... This will be my 6th iPhone and was my first pre order...I have always gotten my phones on the release date.. This will be my last pre order
 
when i check my order it still says "processing" and thats all.

whats the general consensus? should i definitely expect not to receive it friday?
 
It doesn't seem like anyone has a tracking number yet. My CC was charged the next day. Still says "processing" on my order detail

I don't think there is a charge for a preorder cancellation.
 
Finally got my premiere issue straightened out. The charges for both my iPhones has gone through in full and I've changed from "Attention!" to processing. They told me that I didn't lose my spot in queue and that everything should be good now. It's a small relief but I can't wait until Friday!

If your email says it should be delivered as early as 9/21, I would expect it that Friday. I think the ones who ordered later in the day have seen the 14-21 days in their email.
But these things are shipped over night in most cases, so don't worry about it. Even if the ones that have shipped from China already will most likely be held in the UPS or FEDEX warehouse until Friday (or sometimes Thursday).

I ordered early on Friday (PREMIER) and I was told mine would go out friday and I would receive it Monday - but I'm taking everything with a grain of salt right now.

whew! u have calmed and relaxed my mind... it's time to live my life now. lol

I don't think you can cancel the pre-order AFAIK.
 
guys if you ordered by noon central time, you should have your iphone friday, not monday. I have gone through this every year and just like someone else said, it says processing all the way to the day before delivery. I ordered mine 730am friday, my credit card had a 'pending' charge that day and that charge showed up for the full amount saturday morning.

If you have a charge on your credit card by 'att mobility' for the the full amount, and not just a $1 pending charge, your phone has most likely shipped. Good luck.
 
so did any premier customers with 64g black get out of backorder as of yet? or anyone 64g black at all??
 
my 64gb black is on backorder, but credit card has been fully charged.
Fan discounts on monthly service, none for hardware

I ordered mine 9:26 EST (non Premier). Got charged full amount shortly after on my debit card. Just checked account this morning, and the charge disappeared. Order status says "1" under Back-Ordered. You think I have any chance of getting it this Friday? [32GB Black]
 
Has anyone had their phone actually ship yet? Or is everyone still in processing/pending shipment?

This is my first time ordering online but I've had the same experience ordering from the store. The At&t store pre order experience seems to be exactly like the online experience but instead of shipping it to you it just ships to the store.

I've never had a tracking number this soon, the soonest I can remember getting a tracking number was two before release for the 4s and i always got it on time. Usually mid-day or late afternoon but always on the day of release.
 
$36 Upgrade Fee

I'm kind of ticked off that AT&T wouldn't waive the $36 upgrade fee when I ordered my iPhone 5 a few days ago. When I upgraded from an iPhone 3G to the iPhone 4 they had no problem waiving the fee. For as much money as I spent on this current upgrade, you'd think they would waive it again.
 
Just want to pitch in my experience.
I ordered iPhone 16GB black from Att website (non-premier) at 02:54 EST on Friday. One of the order status says Processing and other In-Progress (with nothing in back-ordered column)

Same here. 3rd preorder. (3 4s, 1 4S, 3 5s.) And it's been the same way for AT&T for a while.

I remember though that for the 4s, 2 of them were through AT&T and one was Apple. The Apple ordered 4 came in on release day (Friday) and the 2 AT&Ts came the next day (Saturday.)
 
I pre-ordered a Black/Slate 32gb iPhone Friday,the 14th at about 4:40pm,since I had school that morning. I have In progress/Processing and QTY Back-Ordered 1. Anyone think there is a chance, I can get it this Friday, or next Monday? If not, when do you guys think the next batch of the phones will ship out?
 
im experiencing the same thing as a previous poster. my order still says "processing" but the charge to my bank account has vanished. lol.

im not super anxious like some other people might be, if i dont get it friday i'll just have to wait a few extra days and thats ok. but obviously i'd love for it to get here on friday.

the email i got from ATT said: Your iPhone 5 will be delivered on 9/21/12. All orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. You will receive a confirmation email when your order is ready to ship.

i keep reading that some people have gotten shipping confirmations and all that. idk. we'll see!
 
rookie question

I preordered and one of the only options (unchangeable) was "With Out Visual Voicemail.".
I understand what VV is but why was i forced into this?

Any help would be appreciated.
 
Hey guys,
I ordered my iPhone 5 (white, 16gb) around 8:30am EST on Friday, and immediately received an email stating that "Your iPhone 5 will be delivered on 9/21/12/". I also have a pending charge for the full amount, and received a text later that day that told me my order was processed.

Well I just chatted with a rep at AT&T and got some bad news. Apparently they will only be shipping on the 21st. Here's the transcript:

Carl: I do show that your order is set to ship out on September 21, 2012.
Me: I received an email saying that I would receive the item on Sept 21.
Carl: I do apologize, we are receiving the device on the 21st and then we will be shipping them out that day.
Me: Ok, so there is no chance to receive the item on the 21st?
Carl: You will receive the device 1 - 2 business days after the 21st of this month.


Oh well, at least I'll probably get it Monday.

Did you get through on the 866-499-8008 number? I just got a "we are experiencing technical difficulties" message from them.
