Man. I ordered 9/14 and now I FINALLY received my email confirming my order and on the order status page it says I didn't order until 9/17. Really got screwed.
 
Sorry if this has been answered, its tough to read everything.

I purchased through att.com on friday morning. I didn't realize it until now, but I have a $1 charge on my credit card from apple on 9/15. I haven't bought a 1$ app recently. Is this a place holder for my pre-order? I figured it would be from AT&T, not apple.
 
When they say 'had our order in by 9am Pacific', do they mean Submitted or Status change from Pending to Processing? I think I'm good either way, but can never be too sure.

Ordered a White 16GB from Premier at 7am EST. The full amount hit my bank account as Pending at 1:52 PM, and hasn't changed yet because 5/3 doesn't Process until Mon evening after a certain time on Friday. Order status still shows 1 under Qty-Backordered and the Cancel Btn comes and goes.

What is odd, I just got an email from AT&T Customer Care for Wireless that said recent activity happened on my account but no details.

When I log in, I see no change.

No one has had a status showing they shipped. A few people are showing up on UPS' site but it seems like that is the vast minority.
 
I ordered mine yesterday through premiere. Am I gonna get it before Christmas? Should I cancel and just buy in the store at this point?

Dude, you're in the wrong thread. This thread is for people who ordered DIRECTLY from AT&T's website, NOT Apple's website.

Your info isn't helping anyone here at all.

ordered black 16gb at 8:30 am on release day cc was charged accepted the T&C seconds later the lady on the phone while ordering told me it would ship on the 21st. then called sunday morning they said all preorders will ship in 14 to 21 days. then called today the agent did "research" and told me my order will ship on the 20th and i will receive it on release day, they will tell u anything lol but i hope i do get it on friday!!

I'm not stressing over this. I know that I'll get my order on 9/21.

My participation in this thread is to help provide good info to people, and to correct bad info (like yours). I'm not checking my order status every 3 minutes like others.

Even after we pointed out that you were in the wrong thread, you posted again. That is why I told you again. I figured you didn't notice the first posts.

So here is my dilemma. I ordered a 32gb black from apple store app at around 12:07am on Friday. Everything worked and got my confirmation. Needed to next order one for my wife. It didn't work. Kept saying that there was already one in an open order. I didn't get it so I went to at&t's site and ordered 1 for her (16gb white).

I called ATT the next day just to make sure everything was ok with my order. They said that my card declined. It's an American express platinum so idk how that happened. Anyway, I said ok no problem let me try my VISA. She ran it and everything went fine and that was that. I still had a feeling that there was something wrong with the order so I called back. Another rep told me sorry the order isn't going through because the card declined. Mind you, both of those cards have plenty of available credit. I then tried another AMEX, the lady told me that the card went through and that the phone was coming. I then went to the online chat system to see if the order was ok, she told me that the card declined.

I stopped calling them and decided to call my credit cards to see if there was any authorization...the Visa is showing a $200 charge...authorization I guess. Now Im worried that my wife's phone will or will not show but I will get charged 4 times for this thing. I dont know what to do.
 
This is pretty much what happened to me. I never got the second email saying my order had been processed and sent to the warehouse because I apparently didn't accept the Terms and Conditions for the new 2-year contract.

At this point, my original preorder (2:51am EST) has been canceled by AT&T and I'm waiting 2-3 weeks for shipping.

Count me in also. Husband called as soon as their phone lines opened 9/14 at 7 am est. We had to do the order by phone because we had to ask for early upgrade for my line. Anyway we paid and the guy told him it would be here 9/21. He said we had to accept the T&C email before it could be shipped. He did not say though how important it was to do right away and that our order wouldn't even start processing or get in line for shipping until that T&C was accepted. He did however tell us also that since our bill was due 9/18 that would have to be paid or the phone wouldn't ship.

We didn't accept the T&C email until the afternoon of 9/15 because it went to Spam folder. Right after we accepted we get a new order confirmation email with a date of 9/15, same order # as the initial email we got on 9/14 at 10 am saying they received the order and that we had to accept the T&C.

So we are really ticked with At&t. It's not the end of the world we'll still get the phone, but the whole point of setting an alarm to call right away when they opened was to get it on Friday.
 
Anyone else just receive their Customer Service Summary?

FYI

I ordered mine trough AT&T at 12pst, I received a email at 12:02 "Your Confirmation for AT&T Order ##" this email says "Your iPhone 5 will be delivered on 9/21/12"

Then at 12:03 "Your att.com order ### has been processed" this just says that its processing and I can not cancell or change it. And of course "congratulations"

Checked my cc charges and I have two from att on that day, one for $1 and the 2nd for $218.19 (AZ taxes), both still "processing".

I don't see anything on ups or fedex using my phone number, order number or att account number.

Hope this helps someone.
