Man I miss Breaking Bad :(

I got my CSS email today. Lists my old data plan still. Whatever, it will all work out. I looked at my old post history for kicks, I only posted here for the iPhone 4 launch and the same crap happened - all the backorder nonsense, everyone worrying blah blah, and I got my phone a day early.
 
For all of you who were on back order yesterday and turned to 0, if you are still reading site, has anything new happened since? Ship date or anything. I did move out of back order an hour ago but still no CC charge.
 
so I was looking at my cc activity online... the first charge for $1 was from ATT alpharetta (which is normal) but then I had a $1 charge from ATT-bethlehem and then a full charge of $316 and change from ATT Bethlehem.... All on the same date (9/14). Bethlehem is somewhat local to me is that why it was charged from there? I thought everything went through their main office in Alpharetta
 
I pre-ordered a 32gb white iPhone on Friday early enough to get a 21st delivery (or so the email says; my order status page shows nothing useful in terms of info -- just says processing and nothing about backorders)

I desperately want to get a BLACK 32gb iPhone instead.. so what are my options? Do I need to receive my white one and hope that any ATT store will have a black one to swap it out with? The odds of that happening on launch day are virtually nil!

The problem is, it appears more and more likely that if you ordered via Premier, even well before the cut off times for first shipment(9am pst) you are delayed 2-3+ weeks. There are several Premier members who have more than met the cutoff time but have been told Oct 4-18.

Have been told by who?? A customer service rep or auto generated email? Really? Let's wait and see what happens on or around the 21st.
 
I know everyone is freaking out about whether they are going to get their phone on launch day and I am excited as well but my anxiety is more about which day it is coming so I can be home. I have the ability to work from home so I can be here when it arrives but it's not a privilege I want to abuse.

I hope everyone gets their phones on the 21st but in the end it's just a phone and you will get it eventually. I am having fun reading all of the craziness though.

who can confirm their 64GB's has shipped? mine still says "Pending Shipment" and i was one of the first orders! :D

can someone explain back order? because before there was nothing on my account about back order. so now im confused. can someone explain this to me?
 
now im on back order. i ordered as soon as i was allowed to when it was available. WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

backorder means nothing, last year i was on backorder till the day before launch, went off backorder and shipped same day, got it launch day
 
It's funny, go read the Apple iPhone thread versus this thread, nobody knows what the heck is going on in this thread and in the Apple thread people are actually tracking there phones from China to AK to there local city. Wonder if the Sprint/VZ threads are like ATT's.

I'm in the same situation as you. Ordered at 6AM central on Friday. Saturday, my order status showed "Attention" with CC verify needed. Called four times Saturday, long hold times. Eventually got through, but system was down.

Called yesterday (Sunday) AM, waited on hold for 90mins, no one ever answered. Called in the afternoon, got a message that no one was available.

Made some noise and complaints on Twitter (@attcustomercare) and got a call this AM from one of their social media specialists. Very nice, I explained the problem with her. She's been trying to get in touch with Premier to see what's going on -- but I've talked to her twice more today and she still doesn't have any answers from them.

So if an ATT employee can't get a straight answer (or any answer at all!) from Premier, what hope do us customers have? I told the social media rep that I needed to know if my order would still be in the first shipment, or if I lost my place in the queue. She is supposedly checking on it, but I have very little faith of getting it on the 21st.

I assume this is all the result of my changing my ATT billing address to be my work address, so I could receive the phone there. But I entered my CC billing address correctly; and I did this same thing for the 4 and 4S launches, without difficulty. However, I ordered those two from APPLE, not ATT, and I'm a fool for not doing that this time as well.

I got through today at around 3:30PM ET, was on the phone for 90 min, and finally got an explanation. The girl told me that since my zip code for my CC billing address wasn't the same as my zip code for my AT&T billing address and my shipping address they can't process the charge. According to her this is a new rule from Apple, but I don't buy it. It makes no sense. There have to be tons of people in this same situation but I haven't heard a SINGLE person complain about this.

She then told me she would get the "Resolutions" department on the line and see if they could help me. Long story short the girl from that department said she could change my AT&T zip code somehow and make it work. She said I would get a confirmation email in 2-4 hours and my order status would change from "attention."

5 hours later I have no email and no change on my order status. I called in at 9pm ET and was on hold till 10PM when they DISCONNECTED ME!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!

So if anyone is in a similar situation please speak up.
