ATT iPhone 5 Pre-order thread

Everyone needs to RELAX.
This happens every year and it ends up with everyone getting their phone on launch day.
Granted, if you ordered pretty late or if you have a late order date, you might not be in the first batch. The rest of you guys should be okay and you guys will expect the phone on Friday.

Did you order thru Apple.com? This is the AT&T.com thread, so I don't think anyone has actual shipping information yet?
Personally I'd simply quit fighting against people that don't have any information and fight my battle this friday in person to get an iPhone 5.

Just before midnight pst on 9/14, I placed an order on AT&T's site for a 32GB black iPhone 5. For some reason, I couldn't enter my email but got a confirmation number. I was worried that AT&T didn't get a valid email from me (the field to enter the email said "none@yahoo.com") so I called customer service at 7:30am when I woke up on 9/14. I ordered the iPhone over the phone after AT&T was forced to cancel the first order I placed before. I received and accepted the terms and conditions at 8:15am, and received my pre order text at 9:45am. AT&T on the phone today said the order was placed at 10:15am. My order confirmation email stated that my phone would ship in 2-3 weeks. My order just recently listed '0' under back order quantity. I don't live at the billing address, which makes this complicated especially because the people at the billing address are going away on 9/28 and wouldn't be able to access the phone for awhile if it were to be delivered in October. Do you think I'm in the clear for a delivery AT LEAST before 9/28?
My card was charged from Bethlehem for both charges also. (Pending Charges that is)

My credit card has the full amount of the phone pending and has been such since 10:07 AM EDT, does this mean I am for sure in the second batch or am I actually in the first?

has anyone ordered the adapter yet? What about cases? Anyone have a clue when cases will be out from 3rd parties? I've never gotten a phone on launch day - I've always waited a few months, and by that time, all accessories were out. I have to have a case - I have butterfingers and drop my phone all the time. ugh.

My authorization from 9/14 became a completed charge this morning sometime. Doesn't mean anything though, I still show a 1 in the backorder column. It is what it is and nothing any of us can do about it now. Live and learn, if you want to be kept up to date with what's going on with your iPhone preorder then order from apple directly!
so i got my order in on 1:04am mountain time, and my email said it will be delivered on the 21st. but most people have gotten an email saying it shipped. i have not gotten another email saying it shipped. anymore still think il get mine on the 21st? i ordered my phone of the apple store app.
I ordered a 16gb black from att at 5:30 am pacific and got the confirmation email (Delivery for 9/21) and text right away. I checked my order status today for the first time and it says that the date ordered was 9/15 and that It's back ordered. Am I the only one with this problem? Does anyone know what happened? I'm wondering if that's just a mistake on the site.. or?
Yeah, I'm in the same boat as the OP and this is my feeling as well. I was a fool for ordering from AT&T instead of Apple, and they have botched this every step of the way.
Not even sure how hard it would be to cancel at this point, or if I even need to cancel, since they say they can't process the order. But if I go stand in line, it sure as hell won't be at an AT&T store. I'll go straight to Verizon, or go to Apple but buy a Verizon phone. Better network, and much better customer service -- check the Verizon thread on this forum. While there are some customers having issues, there isn't the systematic failure on a basic level like we have here.

cases are still under development still. apple just released the schematics like yesterday, i think? or today...? speaking of case, i'm getting a aluminum rim protection from element case.
