Did anyone else notice the disclaimer on the mobile version of the order status page that states that 'all orders will ship via FedEx unless you are an employee of another carrier'? Could just be old.
 
My wife's 64GB White ordered at around 10:30am EST shows off pre-order this morning. My 64GB Black ordered at around 9:30am EST still shows pre-order. The odd thing, though, is both show a pre-order date of 9/15/12, which was definitely not the case. Premiere due to work discount it seems.

What do you mean 'off preorder'? What does it say now?
 
I ordered mine in store Friday, first person there at 10am (had to go in to store due to my business account) but I can't seem to check my order online and when I call in to ATT they have no record of my preorder...however, the charges are pending on my card and I have the receipt...any one else experiencing this? I'm sure it's been addressed, unfortunately I just don't have the time to backread right now at work. Thanks!
 
Did you have issues with your CC going through that could have possibly delayed you? Also, did you order through Premier?

None that I know of, and I just went to att.com to order. But I'm not concerned; I'm getting an iPhone 5 either Friday or sometime after. I'm okay with that.

Premier customer, ordered around 11:30 am on the 14th.

AT&T really has some issues with their order department. Sure... this is a huge rollout, but this is also AT&T. A $100+Billion dollar company! Get your stuff together, AT&T.

Also - why does it take a 30 minute phone call to order a phone? Sheesh. :mad:
 
I was in this boat. I wake up at 4am everyday. This should teach me next time.

Church. Woke up at 3:50 am EDT. Got right through on apple.com, every model still delivering 9/21, put a 32g black in my basket, and when I got to the checkout page - two weeks.

Went to ATT.com, ordered the same phone, easy-peasy, got confirmation email at 4:07am. But, based on years of issues, I don't trust AT&T, so I'm following this thread avidly.

Also wondering if I should have just gone through with Apple.com order - maybe they just said "2 weeks" to cover their butts.

There is obviously something to the 64GB/black phones, someone just created a thread about this with VZW. I am not to worried, I would imagine ATT is taking care of the 16GB orders as that is the one they have the most orders on. In fact I thought there was an article about how ATT sold out of the 16GB versions first and the 32/64GB held on a little longer.

I tried to check my order status and found out that both of my orders are now 2 weeks out! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

When I just called AT&T they informed me of this and have now put me on hold with Premier. While I am on hold, does anyone know if they are able to cancel these orders placed on Friday morning?

I would rather cancel the orders and take my chances at the Store on Friday.

BTW...Ordered a Black 64GB and White 32GB.

I don't think this is true, as I have a FAN discount and was able to order my 4S through Apple last year. I planned on doing the same this year, but I didn't bother getting up at 3am. Unless you're referring to hardware discounts, as my discount is only service related.

Yes, referring to hardware discounts. Sorry for any confusion. The Apple Store can only process phones at the standard subsidized rates or Apple's full price. It can't calculate and carrier/acct specific hardward discounts.

For those of us with an employer discount through AT&T (service discount and waived activation fees), could I have upgraded my two phones through apple.com and avoided the $72 in activation fees? I went through an AT&T store at 9 AM EST to save that money. I was under the impression the only AT&T can waive the activation fees.

You didn't read what I wrote! If it's FedEx you call once you find out delivery was attempted. You can p/u that night or first thing in the AM. You don't have to wait until Monday if the 1st delivery attempt is Fri.

Touché, you didn't read what I said. 'if I can get it Friday night or Saturday, fantastic'

You agreed to a contract. Why can't you honor it like those of us coming from an iPhone 4 or older? If you want to upgrade, then pay the extra $250 or just wait another year.
I got the 4s and got a one year iPhone 5 upgrade full subsidy. Bitter much?
 
Ordered mine at ATT store 9:00 EST on the 14th. I was told I'd have the phone delivered to my house on the 21st. ATT site has my progress has processing and back ordered and the credit card is still showing temp auth. Got a feeling I'm not gonna be seeing that phone for a while.
I ordered mine the same way and time... I have mine being delivered to the store though... I talked to my rep yesterday and they told me to ignore the email and what my status says on the site.. She told me that because I was one of the early birds to pre order on Friday , that I am guaranteed my phone this friday...You might want to call the rep
 
Well, the back ordered finally changed from 1 to 0 and I received the customer satisfaction survey... now if I can just get a tracking number so I can make sure I know if it will be delivered Friday or Monday, so I can make sure someone will be there to sign for it.

I have read from folks who went through this with the 4S that we should get tracking numbers Thursday at some point.

If you ordered in the store then you cannot check your status online, you have to call into the store and check it. Same goes if you ordered online, you cannot call a local store as they cannot see any information about online orders.

Ok cool, glad I went to the store then. My wife and I both upgraded so I'll use that $72 we saved towards cases/accessories, thanks for replying :) I was literally the first person preordering at the store at 9 AM EST so hopefully we'll get both phones Friday or at least early next week.

A coworker preordered two phones yesterday (Monday) by calling AT&T and the rep said they should ship next week (!) so pretty sure most people here should be sittin' pretty.
