can someone tell me what my deal is... i am seeing no love here

Same thing for me. "Processing"....

Premier customer, ordered around 11:30 am on the 14th.

AT&T really has some issues with their order department. Sure... this is a huge rollout, but this is also AT&T. A $100+Billion dollar company! Get your stuff together, AT&T.

Also - why does it take a 30 minute phone call to order a phone? Sheesh. :mad:


The bigger, more spread out a company the more disorganized. Other than the iPhone, ATT doesn't sell any other product that garners this much response in a short period. Their system wasn't geared for intensely popular "must have Day One" products because they didn't exist at the time...still don't except the iPhone. It was built for basic feature phones that people casually order w/o any immediacy.

I'm not standing up for ATT, just highlighting reality. It's not going to revamp it's ordering system for a once a year event, especially when once most customers promised 9/21 delivery get it on that date customer anger will temper...until the next iPhone.

I just called AT&T to check my order status. I ordered two 16GB phones at around 10am on the first day. Everything online, including my emails, said that I would get my phones on launch.

After talking with the customer service rep I am now being told I will not get my phones until sometime between Oct 4-14. My order status still says processing.

I have to turn in our old phones before Oct 1st to get money for them. Which needless to say, is not going to happen now. So another $400 bucks down the drain on our old phones.

AT&T has really screwed us over on this one. Might be jumping ship on them soon. My launch day phones have now been pushed back almost a full month. Sounds like they are going to lose a customer of 10 years over this one.
 
I have been calling every morning since 9/14 to get my OC from AT&T. Every CSR that answers the call tell me everything is ok and that 9/21 is my arrival date. Then this AM I get that my payment was declined, even though the charge is sitting on my CC statement. They manually fix it, but she would only tell me that orders placed before 9am pacific will be shipped "by 9/21" and after that 14-21 days. I will be pissed if I dont get it on the 21st after what I have been going through with ATT. I would be fine with them telling me I wont get it, cause I would cancel it and go to a store on Friday. Should have stuck with Apple that morning.
 
AT&T messed up on my order as well. I had to reorder on Sunday. I got the Terms and Conditions email and accepted them, but I still don't see the phone on my Orders page and it's Tuesday. Is this normal?

I do have the pending charge on my credit card.

Try to Contact Gazelle or whoever you used for the resell of your old phone. See if they can extend the time for you.
 
Good news(?) for those with missing card charges

Another data point - woo hoo!

The pending charges dropped of my credit card this morning, so I decided to bug the chat rep again because I'm obsessive like that. When I first asked about shipment she gave me the scripted answer. However, when I told her that I was concerned because the charges were gone from my card, she actually looked up my specific order numbers.

This was the answer she gave me:

Carita: Thank you for holding. Your order has been processed. They have been approved and that is why there is no longer a hold on your credit card account.

So, I still don't have shipping details, but for those of us who have lost the charges it's probably good news rather than bad.

I called AT&T and the rep said that she doesn't see anything about it being canceled and that it is still being processed for shipment. I won't be able to relax until I get my shipment notification. Amazing how a freakin' phone can cause this much stress. First-world problems. :rolleyes:

You said it...if our biggest problem in life is we have to wait 10 days to receive a cell phone than we are just asking for it!

Same thing happened to me this morning. The charges were on my card last night, but today they are gone. My order status still says processing and pending shipment.
 
If you ordered in the store then you cannot check your status online, you have to call into the store and check it. Same goes if you ordered online, you cannot call a local store as they cannot see any information about online orders.

So I FINALLY got through to someone from Premier on the phone, and was able to correct my billing information (they were trying to put my CC through using my shipping/work address, which is why it failed.)

The CSR assured me that I won't lose my place in the queue -- he saw, correctly, that I had ordered the phone "3 days, 3 hours, and xx minutes ago." He said that is the queue order using for shipping and I should still be OK. Heck, even if it doesn't come on Friday, if it comes Monday/Tuesday I'll be thrilled. I'm also a short hop from the UPS/Fedex hubs in Louisville and Memphis (I'm in Birmingham, Alabama) which might help my chances.

Just got off the phone with him 5 minutes ago, and so my order status hasn't changed yet, nor have I received another confirmation email. I'm going to try and be patient and not refresh the order page every 30 seconds. :D

But maybe, just MAYBE, I've avoided having to go stand in line on Friday. (fingers crossed)

You ordered your phone on Saturday? That would be 3 days ago.

Did anyone else notice the disclaimer on the mobile version of the order status page that states that 'all orders will ship via FedEx unless you are an employee of another carrier'? Could just be old.

Odd. How would ATT know unless your delivery address was a UPS location? Or maybe that's what they meant: FedEx won't delivery to a UPS location like the UPS Store same as they won't delivery to a P.O. box. But good to know the default is FedEx.

I think it might be because those companies have some kind of shipping agreement. I'm sure UPS at least has a FAN discount and part of their account may include shipping through UPS rather than another carrier. I'm not explaining this well...
 
I ordered my iphone 5 from the premier site on the 14th at approx 3:53 a.m. pacific got a confirmation email about 3 minutes later that stated I will be receiving it on the 21st and thanking me for my order. that morning there was a pending charge for the price of the phone in my bank account.....sunday night the charger fell off.....i am still showing 1 under back order for my 32gb black phone....anyone else with this same experience?

Just had this happen to me this morning. No more pending charge on my account. Maybe they just do a hold on the funds to make sure you have an open account and then charge when they ship? Thoughts?

1,000,000th time: CSR do not know anything more about our orders than we do. There is a huge disconnect between the online order system and CSRs. The two are clearly not based on the same planet. Most are telling everyone, regardless of when they ordered, that it won't ship until the 21st then it will take 14-21 days for delivery. Seriously, not even USPS is that slow. They are just shooting out a line. Don't panic yet if you ordered before 9PST/12EST. I think we should all see movement by Thurs AM.

No, I got it. You are saying if you ordered via Premier as a UPS employee. Makes perfect sense. I was assuming the regular site, but you cleared it up for me.
 
I preordered through premier online on the 14th around 4pm EST and will receive in 14-21 days.

I have a question, since I still have the "cancel preorder" option on my status page, can I cancel the preorder and try to get a phone on Friday at an att store? I know since I ordered online I already agrees to the terms and conditions and wasn't sure if this was possible. My bank account still has the charge as pending and on the status page I have a 1 on back order. Thanks for your help!
