9/14 9:45 AM EST Premier Order Reporting In

I'm the same as you. I talked to a rep and said to go off of the original order date in the confirmation email. I asked if there was a hold on my order or if it was back ordered and she said no. I asked why the discrepancy and she didn't know. She did assure me it would come this Friday but we shall see. I confirmed with another rep and also a rep via chat.
 
the only email i received was a confirmation of my order on that i have a shipping number which is similar to what a fedex tracking number would be but it doesnt work, probably because it hasnt shipped yet. but i called att and the agent said that my phone would ship on thursday and i would receive it saturday. I ordered it through the phone with att at 830am est and accepted terms and conditions right away. hopefully we all get our phones on friday!!
 
"Pending Shipment" is referring to when you'll get a tracking number. It is the status of when you'll get a tracking number.

"Processing" is referring to what is going on with your shipment. They are processing it for shipping. That is all.

Unfortunately, AT&T doesn't have more detailed status updates. Would it be nice to know more? Yeah, but it won't change when you'll get your iPhone.

Okay. Just strange that two different order status pages come up for the same order on different browsers.
 
My Bank account says that my iPhone transaction is pending until 9/19. Is that any sign I could get mine this Friday? I ordered through the AT&T store at 9:20AM PST Black 32GB
 
For those who have my situation, you're not alone:

On 9/14, 9:05 am est, ordered blck 16g and wht 32g in the At&t store. The Rep told me they would arrive Friday 21st and hinted at there could be an issue but shouldn't be.

Currently, my order says back ordered for both phones (order date 9/14). I talked to the same rep and he said it would be 14-21 days but sounded like he had no clue (very nice fellow, mind you). He said to be sure and watch for shipping confirmation.

Also, my cc charge was pending yesterday and is gone now showing nothing. Not sure if that means charged or canceled but the rep gave no indication it was canceled.

So to wrap up, it seems I'm in before the cut off time people have mentioned but no clear indicators of what's really going on. I'm leaning toward arguments that AT&T reps really just don't know.

With all the confirmations this happened to multiple people with regard to the iPhone 4 yet they still received them on launch day, should any of us care at this point? Better yet, it is just a phone so should I even care enough to post this?

It will be fun to check back days or weeks from now and see how it all played out though and know better (at least hope to) when iPhone 5S releases. :p
 
It only takes a day to ship from China, assuming it goes though customs w/o issue. FedEx and UPS deliver "next day" packages from China everyday, not just launch day.

On a normal day, I'd agree with you. Friday is not going to be a normal day for our FedEx/UPS people.
 
So there are only 2 possibilities

1) We aren't getting our iPhone5's on Friday.

Or...

2) They are shipping within the United States.

As far as I know....ALL carrier orders are shipped from the US. Apple ships to the carrier...they carrier does their own stock and inventory....the carrier assigns you the phone.

does anyone's order date show up as '15', even though you ordered on the 14th? My premier order was placed 730a CDT on the 14th, my credit card was 'authorized' $1 on the 14th, credit card was authorized for the full amount on the 15th, and the order status shows order was placed on the 15th and now it shows 'backordered'. Did the system screw up somehow and the order was really placed the day after? If so, I am not getting it Friday.
 
The cancel button is on the page from the first link in your first email when you ordered.

I actually never received an email after I placed the order (still have not). AT&T rep says they can't resend emails. Ball #1 dropped. Ball #2 dropped was that because Ball #1 was dropped, I never was told my order was placed on hold and I needed to call to answer some questions. Upon doing that, they reset my order date from 9/14 1am to 9/17. Needless to say I am a bit frustrated with AT&T.
 
I thought I would share my experience. I ordered around 9:30 AM CST. I got the "reserved and should arrive Sept. 21". I receiced this email at exactly 10 am CST. I never received anything else. I do have a FAN account, although I can not login to the premier page. My order always had a 1 for backorder. It now just showed up as 0. Also, this was for a 64 black, this was also a upgrade (reduced price, not full price). Hang in here everyone! Also I was right on that noon PST deadline, hopefully it works out.

what do you mean you're right about the noon PST deadline? can you share some info about this part?

A lot of people have that situation. Some CS agents have said that the order went into queue on the 14th (time of confirmation) and some on the 15th (time of processing). I don't think there is any way to really know.

It seems like the 9/14 -> 9/15 situation has happened to the majority of AT&T Premier folks that have logged into this forum to comment. Including myself.

Mine said it was pending until the 17th and this morning it changed and said pending until September 15th, so I don't think there is really a way to gage it using the auth dates.

Same exact situation here. I think we should be good. Apparently this happened to many people, and even with people's dates showing up as ordered on the 15th, many of their back order numbers are going back to 0. Apparently if your number doesn't go back to zero by thursday afternoon, you will not get a phone friday. So there's definitely some time for that to change, seeing as AT&T's still getting shipments and assigning phones to people. So... You should be fine :)
 
so are there any premier folks who have had the 9/14 > 9/15 thing happen, order date shows 9/15 and your phone is NOT on backorder?

I think a lot of us are in this situation. I ordered around the same time from Premier (5:00am PST). Credit card immediately had a $1 authorization and received email stating that I would receive the device "as soon as" the 21st. On Saturday the 15th, my card was authorized for the full amount, but that authorization has yet to convert to an actual charge. The main ATT status page says I ordered the 15th and am backordered, while the Premier status page says I ordered the 14th. I have no clue what to expect.
 
I'm so glad I don't work for AT&T right now. Or FedEx/UPS, for that matter.

I'm half tempted to get my FedEx guy or gal something to give them when they bring my phone on Friday (I'm thinking positive), just because you know they'll have had a hellish day. Cookies or something.
 
Has anyone been notified that their phone has shipped yet?

If not, then I take it as a good sign that the system is just behind or everything is shipping next day from a US location.
