I'm so glad I don't work for AT&T right now. Or FedEx/UPS, for that matter.

I'm half tempted to get my FedEx guy or gal something to give them when they bring my phone on Friday (I'm thinking positive), just because you know they'll have had a hellish day. Cookies or something.

Or beer, crown....
 
does anyone's order date show up as '15', even though you ordered on the 14th? My premier order was placed 730a CDT on the 14th, my credit card was 'authorized' $1 on the 14th, credit card was authorized for the full amount on the 15th, and the order status shows order was placed on the 15th and now it shows 'backordered'. Did the system screw up somehow and the order was really placed the day after? If so, I am not getting it Friday.

Like others have said, there are quite a few of us who are in the same boat as you.

It's interesting because people have said on here this is happening to those who ordered through the Premier site, which I didn't.
I've learned not to rely on the terrible AT&T update process (from previous iPhone orders,) but I hope my phone comes in on the 21st. Or at least at the same time or before both of my bros'.
All with three orders have FANs associated.
All three 64GB Black.

My order:
6:30a CST 9/14
Order Status says 9/15
Backordered 1

My older bro's order:
9:00a CST 9/14
Order Status says 9/14
Backordered 0

My younger bro's order:

I ordered a 64 GB Black at 2:03 AM Central Time, using the regular AT&T site. I'm not a premier member. It went through instantly, I was finished in less then 4 minutes. Easiest iPhone order I've ever made. I received an email within an hour saying my phone would arrive on the 21st. Since, my card is still in pending, and the order says "Processing." I've yet to see any movement on the order, or receive a tracking number.
 
I ordered a black 16gb ip5 on 9/14 at 7:05EST.

Premier tells me I ordered on 9/15. But checking AT&T shows that back order = 0.
 
14 to 21 Day's Ouch!

Just got off the phone with AT&T Premier support and was told my iPhone 5 orders would ship in 14 to 21 Days.

I started my attempt to pre order three company phone upgrades right at 1 AM mountain daylight time through our at&t premier account on line and by phone. The web site crashed instantly and the phone started with a busy signal. The second time I called I got through to on hold waiting for the next available agent que. I remained on hold and continued to monitor the web site which remained down.

My wife has her own personal plan, so while the above continued we got into the Apple store mobile app and ordered my wife's iPhone 5 with no issue. I then tried to do an upgrade on my Premier account phone through the apple store app which worked fine too, right up to the point where the window appeared stating basically that because I had an AT&T Premier Business account I would need to upgrade my phone through them.

I got into the web site,YES! Clicked on my phone and the site went down again, NO! After 2 hours on hold, I got in and everything went great, I told the Premier rep I wanted to upgrade three phones to iPhone 5s and they said no problem, we'll do them one at a time. The rep confirmed the account was eligible for an up grade and asked which iPhone 5 model and as the words were rolling off my lips, can you say DROPPED CALL, NO! Called them back and you guessed it back on hold, and surprise surprise they didn't call me back.

The web site came back to life at about 5:00 AM mountain daylight time at which time I was able to upgrade each of the three phones and received AT&T Premier Order received emails for all three phones.

Not sure why you can't do a phone upgrade through Apple for a Premier AT&T business account, but it sucks.

My iPhone 4 is working just fine so another week or two is no big deal. I'll be able to check out my wife's iPhone 5 Friday.

Has anyone been notified that their phone has shipped yet?

If not, then I take it as a good sign that the system is just behind or everything is shipping next day from a US location.

Started allocating phones @ 0600 EST today from the main warehouse. 3400 done so far (roughly 1%)!

Those of you that show an order count of 1-4 phones with a back order of 0 and are stuck in pending will start to see shipping info appearing. IF YOUR BACK ORDER QUANTITY IS 0, YOU HAVE BEEN ALLOCATED A PHONE. PLEASE STOP CALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE, THESE PEOPLE KNOW NOTHING AND ARE JUST TELLING YOU SOMETHING TO MAKE YOU GO AWAY. THEY HAVE NO ACCESS TO MODIFY OR DETERMINE THE STATUS OF E-COM ORDERS

Rate quotes are being ran on the shipping, and because of the location, it is easier to ship via UPS, however if the price is 14% or less, it will be cargo'd to fedex.
 
Mine says PROCESSING still. When are they going to ship it! Mine also was from the Premier site and I ordered it the 14th and it says that it was ordered the 15th!
 
Hey guys,

Registered to share my information.

I set my alarm last Friday for 2:55 AM EST to make sure I would secure a launch day delivery. When the clock hit 3:00 AM the Apple site was still not up so I made my move to the AT&T site which also said "Loading." I managed to get to the shop page on AT&T and secured my 16 GB Black and got my conformation email at 3:10 AM and the next email at 3:19 AM. I felt pretty comfortable for waking up so early. But just wanted to make sure.

So yesterday around 4:00 PM I gave AT&T Customer service a call, waited for less than a minute and got a lovely woman on the phone and I asked her what the status of my order was. She checked my account out and told me that the phone will be shipped on Thursday and I will get it Friday.

I am more than thrilled, and just thought you guys would want to know that when and if we find out any updates about or shippment information, the soonest that will be would be Thursday. So I guess we all should just sit tight! (even though thats easier said than done!:rolleyes:)

I hope this gives some added insight and information to compare your situations to.

How recently did your back order go to zero? With my order occurring only a few minutes after yours I'm hoping I'm nearing the front of the line to come off back order.

Your order went through. You will get your phone on Friday - or you won't. Everyone knows the cut-off time - everyone is processing - nobody's has shipped. some are on backorder, some are not, some dates have changed to 9/15, some have not. ENOUGH ALREADY. STOP BUGGING AT&T. It's only Tuesday.
 
I wouldn't stress too much about CC charges and if they are pending/charged or drop off completely.

I remember with the 4S last year, I had a pending charge that dropped off, received my phone and wasn't charged for it until a week after I had been using it.

I think the most important thing is if the backorder column changes from 1 to 0. That is a sign of progress. :cool:

Yeah, I ordered mine in one of AT&T's corporate stores around 4:40 pm eastern time, and I haven't seen anyone that ordered at any time say whether they are still on back order or not.

i never caught the cut off time..what time was that again?
 
Yeah, I ordered mine in one of AT&T's corporate stores around 4:40 pm eastern time, and I haven't seen anyone that ordered at any time say whether they are still on back order or not.

I order at AT&T corporate store at 9:20 9/14 and my order still shows Processing on 1-BLK 16gb and 1-WHT 16gb. No backorder - I had order to ship directly to the store.

Honestly... Do you think they could ship out all phones on Thursday to be delivered by Friday? I think if Apple were in charge of this that'd definitely be possible, but being that its AT&T...
