I got the screen replaced. Much better screen and this issue is gone. Let's see if this issue shows up again down the road.

Well at least you admit (twice) that this is a "little" problem. Certainly one that people need to return their phones over!

All this illustrates is that people will complain about anything in their quest to find their perfect iPhone, when in reality, these same people will most likely find something else that is not perfect, whether it be battery, screen tint, home button "clickiness", etc...

This is hardly a "little" problem. When there is dust or debris on the screen, most peoples first reflex is to wipe it off before using the phone because it bothers them. In this case, the dust can't be wiped and progressively gets worse. It is a constant irritant after that and should be unacceptable for probably the priciest phone in the market.

It occupies their days maybe?
Can I trade lives, wishing I could worry about spec of dust on phone screen. Saw someone at Japanese steak house sitting next to me. I noticed their phone on table. Screen looked like someone barfed all over it, smudges, streaks, slag (edit), like never cleaned ever. He was happily using it without a care in the world. I could almost not eat. LOL we each have different thresholds.

That "other" 's'-word there really took it to another descriptive level.

I just can't fathom someone's mindset as to where a speck of dust can drive someone this crazy. If you have to use a zoom on a camera just to photograph the specks of dust, how much of an irritant can it really be? Perhaps it merely comes from that sense of entitlement that a portion of the Apple fan base suffers from in their quest to find the perfect device, no matter if they have to return it 17 times? However, as I said before, as long as Apple entertains this nonsense, I guess you can't expect these people to behave any differently. I just find it all quite silly.

Yah... There's dust and then there's DUST. If you have to look for it you should ignore it. My last phone had dust and I ignored it. But this time the speck was so large I could see it from a distance even with the screen off. Considering the horrible displays Apple is trying to pawn off on all of us, think carefully before swapping if the problem can be ignored.

It gets worse over time. By the time I was on my third 6s+, as soon as I spotted a few specks, I knew it was going to get worse and it did, albeit slower than the first two because I tried putting a case on it. Anyway, I returned it and have since switched to a Nexus 6p and haven't had any issues so far.

I'm inclined to believe it's a design flaw.

There have been more than a few posts indicating it was an adhesive issue. It doesn't make much difference but that would be a materials issue I think. I keep meaning to look at my phone to see if I have the issue. If I have to look for it, it's not too serious though.

Thinking same thing, adhesive issue over time. I look at my phone now, but all the dust I have found wipes off. Never thought needing glasses for close up was an advantage, but this could be one situation.

When did you get yours? S Plus? I agree with you if you've had it a while and you haven't noticed on your own, that would be a good sign for some of us concerned we'll have the issue pop up after a bit of time.

Well, after my screen swap and then the whole phone swap, I have dust in the same corner again. I will visit the apple store soon and give them a final chance to fix this issue…

How long does it take each time for the dust to reappear? So sorry this happened to you!! It must be so disappointing.

No issue here. So clearly not a design flaw. And perhaps you should just get your money back and move on.

Mine still good after replacement of screen. Screen quality is actually better. Oh the LCD inconsistency!
