Does anyone know TNT's delivery policy? If I miss thedelivery (scheduled for Friday,) will I be able to arrange for collection at my local TNT that afternoon, or will I have to wait until next business day (Monday) ?

I’m hardly ever home for deliveries and all apple deliveries I’ve had with TNT have been delivered to the nearest parcel point when I’m not home. I didn’t even have to do anything or change my delivery address, they just leave a card in my mailbox saying it’s been redirected. It’s lucky that the nearest point to me is a news agency close by that’s open late and on weekends, so it’s never a long wait before I can pick it up.

I would check their website to see if there’s one near you that they will redirect you package to https://parcelpoint.com.au/

Any of you guys had your dates move forward a little?

Not here. My order was in the Telstra pre-order group (6:04pm order with email confirmation at 6:10pm) and I had a 3 November delivery date. Contacted them tonight about why I had yet to get a delivery notification and the order had not been completed by their system (I got a darn email with all the details and delivery date!!) and now I have a 4-6 week wait.

I ordered the iPhone X silicon case (to be picked up from the local Apple store) got confirmation yesterday (31/10) that it has been delivered to the store, and ready for collection now.. Surprised these are landing and allowing collection 3days prior to the X release..

I noticed a few people got the “preparing to ship” notice in Sunday. Mine still says “Processing Item” and I was already charged for it at the time of pre-order.

Should i be concerned? The number of people getting random cancellations from Apple has me a little worried.

When are our status suppose to move from “preparing for shipment” (3/11 delivery)
And also move from “processing items” (3/11 Apple store pick up)
I have never pre ordered an iPhone from Apple, but being Wednesday night, and both my in store pick up and delivery dates are 3/11 I would have thought we would have seen shipped by now..?

not sure about your store pick up one - but i would expect the delivery to go to Shipped status sometime tomorrow.... all the phones will be delivered by TNT overnight express out of Sydney Thursday night for delivery on Friday.... at least that is what has happened before...

Yeah, I’ve had it move to shipped as late as 8-9 pm (Perth time) the night before. Nothing to be concerned about it.

Nope - I have just had a chat to an online consultant at Optus and after a bit of prodding I have been informed that my delivery date is scheduled for 16th Nov

When did you get your pre-order in? I got mine in a couple mins after 6 and was told yesterday I would be in the first batch of X’s going out but am yet to see any movement from waiting for stock to arrive at warehouse.

I was told by optus that using live chat to do my pre order was the fastest way. So I was on there right on the dot of pre release (5.31pm adelaide time). It took the guy almost half an hour to process my order. Frustrating to say the least. But you never know, I'm hoping for a miracle that it comes earlier than the 16th!

Try your luck with live chat on the optus website - after being transferred around I was finally given an answer. Let me know how you go!

Ordered from the online Apple Store the
moment orders opened. Apple called on Monday to say there was an error with my credit card and to check with my bank. They sent an e-mail right after the call which said much the same, but had a line reading “Your order has been shipped. However, we are unable to complete your order payment on your credit card.” From what I could tell the e-mail wasn’t generated automatically.

I checked the order status and it said “Preparing for shipment.” Cleared everything with bank, and the charges went through.

No changes since. Still reads “Preparing for shipment” and “Delivers by 3 Nov.”

I just had a call from the courier (I live in rural SA), asking to make sure I was home tomorrow for delivery. I told them I certainly would be. So, they have already been given instructions from TNT, even if my status is still “preparing for shipment”.

That’s normal. You’ll see the status change this evening.
