Bet there's a light-activated explosive device that'll detonate if that box is opened before June 10. :D

Should have read the NDA!

I think there is really sensitive device inside and when you open the box, its sends a signal the Steve Inc. and you cant sell Apple stuff anymore..

OK, I'm settling this. This is not real. Besides the fact it is a bad photoshop, Apple IS NOT STUPID, and WOULD NOT ship something like this before it is announced. And you want to know why? Because people like us go to sites like this. Not real. Done. Enough about the holiday, it's not real. Give me 10 minutes, and I will make something that looks the exact same or better than that, and the box will contain spiders to eat your faces... or rhinos. I haven't decided. Probably rhinos.

Lets just remind everyone that the guy who posted this image is the same guy who claimed that Apple would release the 3G iPhone in late June in Australia, with no single exclusive carrier, and to be sold via Apple resellers. This was weeks before anyone had even heard anything remotely official. At the time everyone was calling that a big fat rumour, and now look whats happened, two Australian operators announcing they'll carry the phone. Everyone seems to be in agreement that that info is accurate.

What reason would he have to lie about this? Everyone knows the 3G iPhone is coming, why wouldn't Apple start releasing info/advertising material to stores?

Just so you can see a larger version of the picture. I really don't think this looks photoshopped at all.

Do Not Open!

If it was me, I would not give a second thought and open it...

Oh the anticipation...

It opened, it'll activate the light sensor in the new iPhone contained within. The forward-facing camera will take your picture and tag it with your location from the built-in GPS. The phone will email the photo to Apple, who'll send out a hit-squad.

Steve

Ha ha, using every new feature. Very nice. It would use it's new MMS to send minute by minute videos to the nearest Apple agent, who would promptly destroy the store in a blast of recorded Macworld applause.:D

Sth to do with Apple Store?

May be there is a bomb inside so Apple can blow up all the resellers in Australia before they open their store on 19 June?
or may be compensation in US dollars...

Jokes aside it may be marketing materials/notifications related to iPhone or Apple Store.

btw Can't they tell us what size it is and how heavy it is at least?

^^haha love that:D

Haha how funny
You get a Box from Apple and you arent allowed to open it.
I would open it so fast :D

If the new iPhones will be shipped in the USA, when will it come to Germany?

Also, it'll send it over 3G so fast that by the time your eyes focus on what it is, the picture's already popped up on Jobs' iPhone.

The temptation to open that box... oooh!

This really has nothing to do with your post, but when I saw your location, I actually looked behind me. Then I smacked my head on the wall, then the dog woke up. And now I have to let her out and feed her. So thanks. Jerk. Ugh, woozy....

"...or you can trade it all in for what's in this box."

"The box! The box!"

Why the hell am i getting excited about this?

But to be fair, I (or anyone) could go in the stationary cupboard right now and replicate this in about 2 minutes.

Still, there is nothing more tempting than a box that says "do not open" apart from maybe a button that says "do not press"

Its obviously not a photoshop. For starters, why would someone photoshop a brown box when they could just make one?!

Nope, it would be considered a breach of the NDA. Also, the "passer-by" in question would probably be this kid's mom as she walked from the kitchen to the living room or something. Fake.

What if the box was "stolen". Surely that would be just unfortunate circumstances. ;)

I think your all neglecting to mention that

The iphone isn't even sold in Australia, and if it was going to be sold soon everyone would know the release date as the carrier and Apple would have announced it.

How gullible are you.
