Australian Resellers Receive Mysterious Boxes

its fake, or its got a fake iphone in it. Different types sent to different sellers to shut them out if those pics get posted

Disclaimer: for the purpose of covering my ass from the feds and thier Eschelon servers, there's no bomb, don't get a little stiffy after reading this, i'm not a terrorist, and it's not even my girlfriends birthday (how unfortunately poor would i end up being, having to buy my gf the same thing as i'm getting after a WWDC or something less expensive/impressive, man, that would suck)

I work at a Premium Reseller and we haven't got any fancy boxes.

It's all BS. Doesn't look like anything Apple ever ship us. The label, the way it's labelled - it doesn't look right at all.

We have not received any special boxes at all.

You guys(and gal) aren't going to believe this! My neighbor got a box too. Seriously. It is strangely similar to mine. However, I think his looks a little PS'd if you know what I mean. See what you make of it, I'm not an expert but I think someone is fooling him...

Hopeless analogy... that cat died in 1935. My great grandpa knew it on a personal level (no, you don't get it, on a 'personal' level, it was a boy cat).
 
Whomever photoshopped that photo either needs to go back to school and learn some detail orientation or be fired from their job as a graphic designer or whatever.

When my first instinct when I see a "realistic" photo is that it's been photoshopped, it's all over for you. If you were kinda drunk when you did it, well ok then.

OMG I'm having deja vu. Did we not go through this several years ago?

who needs to open it when you can just buy a plane ticket to be able to check it through the x-ray scanner at the security checkpoint. Then again, probably another fake
 
who would know if you opened the box but didnt tell anyone? :S they are way to trusting of these humans!
 
Oh its real alright, only each reseller got a different colored box. They are sooooooo busted!!!
 
Is it really that hard to believe that apple just shipped them out to Australia? I mean, when else are they going to get them to Australia. I did my research and yes, it is in fact an actual holiday!(Imagine that). Since it is a holiday, there will be absolutely no mail delivery. So yes!, this box could actually be in fact an actual box full of the new generation of iphone. there is no other way to get them to australia except if steve jobs delivered them there by plane. Its common sense really.

Actually, in Australia this would be quite normal, as there are no apple stores to release the product; resellers are their only form of distribution, apart from online.

I would think that MacTalk AU has confirmed their credibility by having the multiple carriers scoop weeks ahead of any carrier announcement.
 
This COULD be real, as some of you say the stamp is blurred. It isn't do a degree, its just the image quality. We do have a holiday on Monday, the Queen's birthday. Plus the image has sticky-tape marks on it and paper folds, which if you photo-shopped it, you wouldn't really pay attention to. The box has also come from Shang Hai, which is a plausible destination, as it has not come from the US. The postage stamp/delivery company would be what is blacked out in the top right corner.
 
meh, it's like a 0.000...0001% chance there's an iPhone 2 there...
my main reason being.. since when did australia get apple products on the date of WWDC.. (okay maybe there'd be exceptions, i dunno)

but sorry if you all know, but australian networks wouldn't release the original iPhone 1 now would they?!? that would just be plain wrong.

we've heard rumours for years to see which is the carrier for the original iphone, and we still don't have it...
i don't mind now, ...as long as we don't have to wait THAT long for this iPhone 2.0 to come! (which we won't, but this picture isn't it though!)
