And? The active user base continues to grow for Apple and they own 90% of the industry's profit. Apple doesn't compete for market share because they don't sell $50 phones.
Bingo. I’m in a store in AZ as I type this and they have so many android phone for $20-$50 and there is nothing wrong with that but that’s the market share. I would love for a flagship market share to be released

Shortly after pre-orders for Apple's new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro models went live, supplies of the new higher-end iPhone 11 Pro models began dwindling, with launch day shipping no longer available for many colors and capacities.

Most iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max models in the midnight green color went first, suggesting it is the most popular color this year. At this time, most new Pro models in midnight green will ship in late September to early October.

Space Gray, Silver, and Gold iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max models are also selling out quickly with many colors and capacities across several carriers now unavailable for launch day delivery. Gold devices are still in stock along with a few Silver and Space Gray, but it looks like all available supply will soon be exhausted.

The iPhone 11 appears to be faring better and most models in most colors and capacities can still be purchased for launch day delivery.

Given how fast the iPhone 11 Pro is selling out, it's best to place an order as early as possible. Those who don't get launch day delivery may be able to visit an Apple Store or another retail location on launch day to get a new iPhone.

Update 6:15 a.m.: Shipping estimates for select models of the iPhone 11, led by the new green and purple colors for T-Mobile and Sprint customers, have started slipping beyond the September 20 launch date as well.

Can never figure out if the high-end phones/watches are more popular on launch day (Apple nerds and such) or if they just make less...

I do marvel at everyone going nuts over the color. Doesn’t anyone put a case on their phone?

I have the case in hand....pull it out of the box....stick the case on it and remember two years later when I am selling the phone that I ordered silver and not space gray.
Maybe if mophie made one in a timely manner i would, but caseless is so much better

Then I’m genuinely happy for you. Alas, I cannot significantly improve nor amplify my happiness no matter what iPhone or Tesla I buy. Glad it works for you mate.

Stuff doesn’t create or amplify happiness. It just facilitates or complements it.

Pre-approved Apple upgrade program, logged in 10 min early. Didn’t get through until about 5 min after 7:00cst, still got Sept 27-Oct 1 date for a grey 11 pro max 51M. So for me they slipped in less than 5 min!

Frustrating, but not uncommon for the dates to improve after a few days...

Manufacturing lemonade is not the same thing as manufacturing a hundred million electronic devices in the span of a couple of months. Obviously there is a limit to what can be produced in a given time. Well obvious to some people I guess.

But hey there's always Android. Always plenty of those turds available on release day.

This has nothing to do with not being able to produce them. It has to do with trying to predict how many they have to produce without going over their projections. Something Apple gets wrong every year. Basically supply chain management to reduce manufacturing costs. It case you missed it Tim Cook was hired as a supply chain specialist by jobs. Then made CEO later.

Not so obvious to some people.

The 350 deal? It’s on slickdeal

Apparently I’m incompetent. I am on slickdeal and searched iPhone 11, perused Costco savings and iPhone 7 and don’t see it. I’ll probably just call Costco. If you had a minute to send a link I’d be appreciative.

Pre-ordered the 11 Pro Max in green today at 11am EST via AT&T and have a projected delivery date of September 20.

costco offering 350 off when i trade in iphone 7. so naturally i canceled my pre-order from apple :D
REALLY?

Just for the kicks I looked at the Apple Webpage and was shown that Apple Inc. themselves offer 190€ for a perfect condition iPhone 8.

That's a hard pass for me.

I generally agree and I'm also in a financial position where I can purchase the items I like or need - most recently the iPhone 11 pro and Nikon Z7; and typically upgrade my watch and laptops annually. That said, sometimes life does not always follow the simple path you stated - health and other outside factors can play a significant part of a person's life and success. Maybe a little humility can be added to your suite of skills.

256 Gig Pro, space gray, still available as of almost noon eastern. Not sure "selling how like hot cakes" is appropriate.

Damn! Even with the more competitively priced 11, the Pro is selling out like hot cakes. That just shows how much the third camera makes a difference for a lot of people.

Yeah, we use our iPhones “almost” every single day! It’s well worth upgrading.

I get my iPhone’s for free and even I do not want to upgrade from my XS. Yes, I also use it everyday but how does the 2019 model do 99% of your daily activities that were unable to do prior.

Upgrading for the sake of upgrading to brag or whatever is such a waste of resources, I presume this is Apple’s version of being green just release a colour. Compare the 2019 keynote to the 2018 or even 2017 and it is evident how unexciting it really was. The 2019 model is a stopgap for the much anticipated 2020 models.

But upgrade to that model too, either way I profit, Apple profits the environment looses and you are blissful.

Did you use the website or the phone app. The phone app usually works much better than the site I got into the phone app instantly.

The camera was the selling point for me. I used to be really into photography and I miss it, but I just can't justify a DSLR and lenses for as little as I get to go shoot. With phones, I have my phone on me all the time and take pictures pretty often. When a big camera enhancement comes along I jump all over it.

When the only thing in “Edogspeed” life is to upgrade their Apple hardware annually and brag about how their can afford it and others should make better financial choices speaks to how shallow “Edogspeed” life truly is.

I get my iPhone’s annually for free and even I am not interested this year, just going to keep my XS.
