Damn, I'm surprised to see the gold 11 Pro Max is still available to ship for delivery on 9/20. I thought that would be more popular than Midnight Green!
Looks to me like the green and space gray colors of this 512GB max were ones who slipped first I could not get my space grey on 20th I am in next iteration of following week (9-27 to 10-1 delivery) and hoping like last year it moves up a week early next week when shipments start, ordering slows down and real inventory matches orders enough mine might ship earlier...

Do even mathematics bro? When we compare data, we don’t look at past couple of days (relatively speaking, I never go to the toilet....)

Market share was 52% in 2010, dropped to 25% today. They lost half of their costumers in Europe in less than 10 years. That’s a lot!

Reason: increased price after every iteration without more innovation when compared to waaaaay cheaper competitors. Don’t get me wrong, iPhones are fantastic phones, but they simply don’t offer more than others.

Apple did not have 52% market share in europe in 2010.

Every year, the naysayers say that Apple is losing their edge. Can't compete. Can't make a worthwhile product.

Not "innovative" they say. "Not what Jobs would do," they say.

Every year...they are wrong.

Not really, sales have been declining year on year. The Apple everyone loved died with Steve Jobs. Now they are just greedy money grabbers.

This is the first year since the original iPhone in 2007 I won’t be purchasing the latest iPhone.

And? The active user base continues to grow for Apple and they own 90% of the industry's profit. Apple doesn't compete for market share because they don't sell $50 phones.

And? Androids active user base base grows even larger....
Apple only owns 73% profits of the mobile industry, not 90% (you liar!)

Most people on this planet believe in a god, but the smartest minority of people (researchers and scientists) do not. Relatively speaking, Apple only needs a few brainless costumers to become rich. It’s like religion!

My $0.02:

Apple has plenty of stock of ALL models.

They are simply "throttling delivery" to control User Sentiment / Control the Narrative.

Not a chance Apple is throttling delivery. Apple has to decide months in advance what the launch quantity is going to be, based upon previous year's sales quantities, anticipated demand and the other important piece - production capacity. They also have to figure out what they can produce and deliver week by week over the course of the next 90 days, or whatever the point is they estimate demand plateauing at. It would be a simple thing, if they offered just one size/color/capacity/cellular chip, but of course that isn't how it is, so they have to juggle multiple iterations across a global market.

Waning, yeah with a few days, not weeks. Every year there seems to be less demand.

Makes sense, seems the guys mostly order Space Grey and a large segment will be intrigued by whatever the new color is...

The Apple Store App didn’t let me in until like 7 minutes after.

Once in, it was quick to finalize my pre-configured order. Got a Space Gray 11 Pro for 27th delivery. I had a later delivery like that for the iPhone X, but it ended up shipping earlier. So still hoping for launch day.

I was drawn to Android for about 3 years, than Apple opened up and started letting users integrate the main Google Apps lie Gmail, Google Photos, Maps and they worked well on the iPhone. That's when I switched back to iPhone because to me it has the most secure mobile OS and I LOVE the facial recognition!! Samsung has it on the Note 10, but it doesn't work as flawlessly as the iPhone. I do miss the messaging app Textra and all my SwiftKey keyboard iterations. But the iPhone does have a better camera than Samsung, much better.

Ordered a green 256 max trough my carrier. Apparently they will send out detailed delivery dates tomorrow.
As oppose to previous year's, I found that AT&T had a much better system as they implemented a virtual queue - I waited minutes and was able to pay off current balance, pick my model and order without having the cart crashed

Not saying I’m going to Android. If I did go Android it would always be a second phone to my main iPhone.

I will continue to use Apple products I just won’t be upgrading as often. Their products are no longer as enticing and the pricing is getting out of hand.

The camera was the selling point for me. I used to be really into photography and I miss it, but I just can't justify a DSLR and lenses for as little as I get to go shoot. With phones, I have my phone on me all the time and take pictures pretty often. When a big camera enhancement comes along I jump all over it.
That's a very good reason to go for the 11 Pro. I love photography too but I am very hesitant to carry my DSLR with me. It is large and lugging it around is very tough in most situations. My iPhone camera lags in many aspects and I see my friends use Night Shot and get such great quality pictures. I think a year-old iPhone will handle whatever apps you throw at it, but the camera is a good reason to upgrade.

Apple runs out of supply every year. It used to be a lot worse. The craziest year was 2016, I think that was the iPhone 7 year when they first introduced the bigger screen or 7 Plus. The 7 Plus was selling on eBay for hundreds of dollars more than retail on release day because they ran out of stock at Apple so quickly. This doesn't happen anymore.

I think you are assuming that people are throwing their old models to landfill - in my case, my 8+ is going to my son and I bet the folks in this forum are selling or hand me down their phones as well - these replaced phones will continue to be in used as they are still good
For some reason I get all amped up and nervous right before pre orders go live. Can’t type right, fingers shake, etc. I look at it like a BIG competition to get a launch day device. I’ve camped out a few times back in the day (which was awesome-miss those days). I’ve stood in line, and I’ve gotten up at 3am multiple times. Luckily I’ve gotten every iPhone on launch except for the 3GS that I wasn’t too thrilled about and waited a week. But I love the excitement and stress of preordering. I picture thousands of other people all over the world staring at their screens hitting the refresh button over and over like their all at the starting line of a massive race. And then the gun goes off and it’s on. Wow, I just re-read this post and man, I am a real nerd. But hey, it’s fun.
Me too, it's because you're excited and really want to buy the iPhone and are worried about an unforseen problem...Of course, there's a full moon right now too!

So I got my case delivered already today:

But I won't have my phone until Oct :(

Cases are slipping too. I made the mistake of not ordering when I ordered the phone. Hopefully there will be store inventory.

That’s what usually happens to me. But this year I went right online and ordered it right away. It’ll be here Monday. I can believe it slipped to 2-3 weeks quick
