Quick question about my Ceramic edition. I have been switching bands between the Sport band and the blue leather loop. I noticed some dark marks along the inside of the watch where the bands connect to the watch. I cant seem to clean them off. I cant imagine they are scratches? I know they are mostly hidden, but curious if anyone else is seeing this?

I have not noticed it on mine, but with my SS series 0, the sports band and nylon bands would get build up on them. It would then transfer over to the watch in the slot for the band. It would really take some work to clean it out. Don't know it might be that. I can't imagine it's already scratching.

How did you attempt to clean the slots? I cant figure out a way to get the grime off. If it doesnt come off id be very disappointed because you can see it along the edge when I have the sport band on.

It doesn't fit in the slot... I tried to make it smaller but could get it to work.
I hate to suggest this just for that, but you may want to take it to the Apple Store and see what they say. They may have better cleaning ideas. I don't have any of that yet on my Ceramic, but I did on my SS. I thought I got it out with a Q-Tip, but who knows

After a long deliberation, I placed an order for a ceramic 38mm Apple Watch early this morning. Upgrading from a stainless steel model. Still not sure I made the right decision, as I alternate between loving the look in some photos and worrying that it just looks like plastic in others.

The estimate was 2-3 weeks for delivery, and the confirmation email says Oct 18-21, which is significantly longer than the estimate. Very disappointed in that.

You will love it. Once it's out with a nice band, it no longer ever looks like plastic. I kind of though that way for awhile, but with my Hermès band, it looks amazing. I don't think you will regret it.

I will say, I am keeping my SS around to be able to change it up every now and again.

Nothing has worked. I've added a few pictures. I'm probably going to return it. I didn't spend $1,299 for this happening after a couple days. Prob go back to the Hermes watch.

That sucks. I hope this does not happen to all of them. I change bands out all the time. I don't need mine looking like junk after a few days.

You really can't see them during typical use which is most important, but it's still disappointing. I only used the apple sport band and the leather loop. I thought ceramic was pretty much scratch proof.

All I can say is, you'll be glad I'm not in charge of returns.
I thought the pictures looked pretty awful myself. The other side of the Watch is even more noticeable. I swapped bands 3 times in 7 days. I never imagined a $1,299 Watch would show such wear for such a scratch proof material.

Here are a couple of pictures or the Ceramic with the light blue leather loop, and then the white sports band.
I am not sure how I like the light blue, but it's growing on me. It make the white really stand out.

I stopped by the Apple Store and was able to swap a few band on the ceramic.
After seeing the pictures across the web, I have to say I don't think I have even seen an apple product look so crappy in pictures but look so nice in person.

The black link combo definitely won first place.

What I took away from the visit was, coordinating the color with the attire and event is a must.
Otherwise it can look cheap

Here is my Ceramic White with the Apple Black Stainless Link band. Very nice in person. Very, very nice. Really dresses the watch up.
Saw that combo today and thought it was the best combo.

However with that the shirt in the picture, brown leather would look great

I kind of agree this is not that bad. I mean it's just a few marks, and I don't think they are scratches.
Right, it's not bad at all. I want to say it's a "petty little bull**** whiny complaint", but that'd be rude of me.

"I tried a Q-tip, but it won't fit," wasn't an answer any time I had to clean something in the military.

Well I am pretty sure I used a Q-Tip on my SS and it fit. I could be wrong, but I think I did.

The Q-tip didn't work and yes I made it fit. Geez tough crowd. Luckily for me I have 14 days to return it.

Ceramic is scratch proof but its neither stain proof nor chip resistant so there is that. That may be a stain from the lettering, but I doubt it. Probably just grime. If it bothers you, I don't think there is an issue in returning it.

Is anyone surprised? You're spending $1300 to basically be a beta tester for a new material that apple is looking to explore.

Also, keep in mind that this is watch is part of the limited line. Just because it doesn't cost $17,000 anymore doesn't mean it's purpose doesn't change. It's meant as a throw away watch for people who can afford the first gen $10,000 watch. They won't have it for more than a year and can afford to buy 10 in case they stain or chip.

That is stupidest thing I have heard yet about the Ceramic. We are not beta testers, and this is not a Watch you throw away. There might be more colors added in the future, but that does not make it a throw any more then any of the other series 2 are. All series 0 are in the same spot as the edition, expect it got cheaper and gave it a new material.

I have to say the Ceramic Edition is not ready for primetime with the defects I've seen on my Watch after 5 days and literally 3 band swaps.

Im glad I realized this before the 14 day return period. The Edition goes back and now I'm just waiting for my Hermes to be delivered.
