I am dying to buy a mac book pro as well as a 27'' imac. I am taking the plunge into going all mac. Does anyone know if I can get a free i-pod and a free printer from both computers? Also when is this darn program going to start? Is May 27th the projected Date?

i bought a magic mouse too and a wireless KB will follow. but mainly because i will use it with an external display. "on the move" i don't think i will need the mouse, as the trackpad is pretty nice.
I just spilled a glass of coke on my good old blackbook. Cannot be repaired they say. Now I'm waiting for the money from the insurance company and now I hear about this Back to School promotion. I have a hard time without my mac, but if I would wait 1 or 2 weeks longer I could get a free iPod. Not that I need one, but I could sell it. Damn. Hard decisions. 😱
I guess I'll make the decision once I've gotten the money from the insurance company, but as a poor student this promotion would definitely help me out a bit more.

If you have an alternative way of working and accessing the things you need then I would wait the 2 weeks or whatever for the promotion. It should definitely benefit you.
Yeah, I have an ages old Windows PC that I absolutely hate. I also have my iPhone. I don't think I'll have any real definite need for a computer for a while actually, so maybe I could wait indeed. Maybe I can get most things done with my old PC and my iPhone. Still, the wait is gonna be absolutely terrible. 🙁

Anyway, two weeks is a little optimistic. Last year the promotion started May 27; in previous years it started in early June.
I've had a similar discussion on some other board before and came to the conclusion that apparently there's no such home insurance in the US. I'm in Finland and pretty much everyone has home insurance which will cover any stupid **** you do yourself pretty much. 🙂 And thank god for that. We would be a lot poorer atm without insurance as we've had all kinds of stuff happen.
And two weeks, if the campaign starts on the 25th and I get the money next Tuesday (might take way longer for the money too, I have no idea really). Just thinking about my options really. I hate being without my mac, but I'm a poor uni student so I would like to save some money too if possible.

Last years promotion started on May 27th. I'm really hoping this years starts around that date. I can't wait to buy my first Macbook Pro!!

Just a quick question. I'm looking to buy the base 15" Macbook Pro with the matte screen (or anti-glare, as it seems to be going by these days). In the past, the BTS offer has been for the standard specs only.
Do you think the 'high-res anti-glare' screen option will be included in the BTS promo?

Graduated?
I just graduated from my university, yesterday. I see from the terms last year that there isn't anything about recent graduates. Is there a grace period or something for people like me? Could I still get the back to school?

No.
Now hopefully the iMac's get upgraded while this promo is going on. Then I can get a 27 incher and a new ipod.!
If you still have your Student ID I don't see why not. Just don't tell them you graduated 😀
