What's Tim's number, guys? I know around 6 billion people whose names aren't pronounced correctly.

In Barbara's case, Siri doesn't pronounce her name incorrectly, it just says: "That name is no longer relevant... and barely has ever been."

It is fair to get special treatment if Siri is telling your name wrong to many thousands of people, and the fix would not work just for her, I guess.

How many people will check Siri for the wrong pronunciation now?

Apple would set a precedent by doing this. Other celebrities and political figures would want a custom pronunciation as well and next thing you know 5gb of your iOS is custom speech library.
Just say no Tim.

First world problems. Imagine how hard it must have been 10 years ago without an interactive assistant....

I think first world problems start to look like actual problems when compared Ms. (sorry, Mz.) Streisand's problems.

Excuse me? How does she have the ability to speak to him on the phone and we can only send an email him to a mailbox he never reads.

I don't get it. Isn't the "s" in sand a sharp "s"? To me, a soft "s" is, for instance, the one in "reason".
Reason is not spoken with a soft s. It's spoken with a z sound. The phonetic spelling also shows z : ˈrēzən.

So she has to go right to the CEO? It seems a a bit snooty and elitist to me.
Shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Who else was she going to go to to get her issue resolved? An Apple Store Pro Genius Expert Level 40 Pokemon Go Mobile Suit Gundam? :p:D:rolleyes:

Do I think her issue important or merited a response? Of course not. But at least she knew the best avenue to take to get her issue solved. Didn't need solving, imo, but that's neither here nor there.

Do I have the same access to Tim Cook if I have a complaint?
I don't know who you are, so maybe you do, maybe you don't.

Regardless, I don't see the problem here. If she knows him and has access to him, why shouldn't she ask for the favor? I would if I had the opportunity and availability.
