With this request, Mrs. Streisand is already pushing higher product standards than Cook.

73 posts in... obviously; there's interest and people care enough comment. Whether it's to complain, defend, or joke about the topic there's interest. Imagine what MR would be if they only posted what you want to see? Or only stuff that I want to see? There's something here for everyone. We both have a choice to ignore the articles we don't like.

I have no interest in Barbarsa Streizand either. I did have a curiosity about the replies in the thread. Thus far, they haven't disappointed.

Personally I couldn't pass up the opportunity to poke fun at such an overinflated celebrity ego. Her legendary sense of self-importance shines though so brightly.

Ironically, the pride she shows in the pronunciation of her family name is misplaced. Her ancestors, like mine, no doubt didn't give a soggy fig newton how their names were pronounced once they arrived in the U.S.; in fact, the more American they sounded, the better. They weren't celebrating the Old County, they were escaping it.

I have to wonder just how often Siri is even asked about Ms. Streisand...

On top of that, how many times do you think people ask Siri about Barbara Streisand, Siri repsonds with the "z" enunciation and those people think Siri is talking about some other person whose name is pronounced Barbara Streizand?

I couldn't possibly imagine being able to understand how someone can be as smug as this. I believe most celebrities would not ask Apple to correct their own name pronunciation just for the sake of not sounding like a complete narcissistic ___hole.

Barbara who? I must be behind on the times. Is she even notable? She must be if she is makes a Macrumors front page story.

That's pretty ego-maniacal for her to call the CEO to fix a minor mispronunciation of her name, then tweet it like a typical "name-dropper". Can you say "DIVA"?

Even with this very innocent and lighthearted rumour, I see so much negativity here. It confirms again how many people can't relate to anything outside their own precious little world or how clueless they are regarding the negativity in their messsage.

I'm not a fan of hers, but it was fun to read :)

Now if only Rabbie Burns could phone Americans and English folk to tell them the same thing about "Auld Lang Syne".

Actually, it's a fun little story. Not everything article has to be deep and heavy. Kudos to Macrumors for picking it up.

Oh, and "What's Up, Doc?" remains one of my favorite movies of all time. Streisand is magnificent in it (as are the rest of the cast).
Or this. But it is nice to have friends in high places.

So is true with this post, We have a confirmed data for iOS 10.., Sep 30?????

Excuse me? How does she have the ability to speak to him on the phone and we can only send an email him to a mailbox he never reads.

Probably because she and Cook have been at the same charity events. Maybe you can give a few million to a charity Cook likes and meet him over dinner to get phone privileges.

I totally agree, how did she ever end up being a singer and actress?

Um, it took a lot of work to become one of the most famous singers in the world. More work than you will ever accomplish.

Apparently, you are very young. Here, let me explain it in terms you might understand. She was the Beyonce of her day, times 10. And she still sells out stadiums, although she claimed retirement a long time ago. She has sold millions of records and starred in and also directed several excellent movies.

Ahh yes, Tim Cook, the great philanthropist, using his wealth, his far-reaching influence and power to right the world's great injustices.
he does not have to use his personal wealth to fix injustices. However, he needs to bring back Apple's billions of profits from Ireland (and else where) and pay the taxes that Apple Corporation owes to the Unites States since that is where he, his fellow executives and the vast majority of his employees live, work and benefit.
