When I bought my gold one Friday night, I asked the BB rep about how long the sale was. He said through the 20th (today). If in the market, I'd grab it today just in case it goes back up tomorrow. If it doesn't, then a good bet for the whole week.

I do believe it ends today. I received an email from Best Buy that says the "big brands" sale ends today. It is a bit odd for a sale to end on a Sunday, but if anyone is interested in picking one up, I would do it today before it is gone. I am loving this thing

iPad Pro is $949 (nearly the same as the 12" Macbook) and has only 4GM of RAM, only 128GB of flash storage and the far less functional iOS

I bought the $20 USB single adapter, but haven't unboxed it yet. Looking at some other options on Amazon. I have a Mac Mini hooked up for bigger screen or editing needs and was not planning to connect this MacBook to a monitor.
Core M 5y31 is a pretty sweet processor and those real life use cases would probably yield little difference. The only problem I have with the XPS is the reflectance of the display. It's quite bad. 4 GB more ram and 256 GB SSD is worth the extra $100 to me. Let alone form factor and display quality.
The retina MackBook is getting a bit long in the tooth. Considering it's almost 10 months since it was announced, you'd be buying old technology which is likely about to get upgraded. I'd definitely not sink any $$$ into one.
I managed to order one for store pick up with my UK credit card which I can do when I arrive later in the week; I know they may be updated soon but given the UK price is £1049, the £700 I just paid is a good deal. I love my MBA, but really want a better and slightly bigger screen than the 11", and given I only use it for browsing/email/basic spreadsheets the performance should be fine.

You can get your 10% off mover coupon as little as few bucks at USPS. However, all computers and tablets products are excluded. I already tried to use it and t was no go.
Because the base MBP is only $200 off. But for a writing computer for myself I was looking to spend as little as possible. I got the MBA base 13 inch for $727 and then saw the base MBr for $859, both open item but in perfect condition.
I'm trying to decide which one to keep still...
I'm leaning towards the MB cause it's the better "deal" I think with the extra storage, RAM and better screen. I have a Mac Pro for my heavy lifting. Though this keyboard... wow... it takes a bit of getting use to having nearly no travel.
