Usage Time: 7 h 49 min.
Standby Time: 3 days 10 min.

Before the battery died.

My second full discharge.

Network signal strength is the first responsible for different battery life numbers on this thread.
Starting from iOS 7 introduction, I noticed how much the signal strength is influencing battery life. With the same device and usage there are almost two hours of usage difference when I use my iPhone in my hometown (good network) or in the town where I live (very spotty network).

Instead of using the Facebook app, use Facebook in the browser. Seriously. Try it.

----------

Yesterday night I was amazed.

6+ 128G -
I had Wifi off, LTE on, and was right at 17 hours of use. I couldn't believe it. I'll get a screenshot as I'm trying to duplicate this experiment today.

I did that for a while but as mentioned before got sick of having to enter my password everytime just having the mobile site saved as a favorite on the home screen. Still one app shouldn't kill it that bad and other have reported close the same percentage of FB use and much better battery life. I have literally everything turned off even thought I know it doesn't seem like it but have been through it a million times.

Down to 5%. Surfed, searched, listened, watched, called…

Battery Usage/Life Screenshots iPhone 6

My iPhone 6 16 gb. Wifi, Bluetooth turned on. Mostly 3G/LTE. Used FB, Safari and spotify streaming over Bluetooth to car.
Setup as new.
Uninstalled FB after this and will try again.

Last night's stats.AlSO, a fresh restore is NOT the ticket guys!! It's been proven time and time again. And to the kid who got 15 hours with her Iphone 6 and 10 hours with the 6 plus - this is not real world usage. Since when does Iphone 6 beat iPhone 6 Battery by 5 hours on a side By side comparison in the real world?? This is not real world pal!!

First Battery Drain on my iPhone 6 (I did charge this device for over 12 hours)
Battery @2%
Usage 9hours 13 minutes
standby 1day 15 hours

Tuninradio 58%
safari 26%
phone 4%

Most of this on Wifi will post my iPhone 6+ after first drain

Mine keeps on improving :)

Background refresh off, location services on only a select few apps and only when using the app, auto brightness, using a mixture of wifi and 3G/4G(LTE).

Is that with "remember me" selected when you sign in?
Maybe give the app 1Password a try - with the Safari extension it's pretty awesome and quick for password entry.

Instead of using the Facebook app, use Facebook in the browser. Seriously. Try it.

I tried to use Safari for facebook for a while, and just ended up with Safari as my biggest % use and similar battery life. To be expected.

I'm finding Twitter to be a huge drain for me. When I do use it, it's always top of the list and I don't even use twitter that much.

I think the iOS 8 battery usage screen is cool, but needs improving.
It shows % of battery used, but doesn't really indicate how fast it drained.
For example, the game Godus. It's a huge battery drain.
It may have been using 50% of my total battery, but did it in 25% of this charge's time to drain. So half battery gone in 1 hour, and a total battery usage time of 4 hours.
50% gone on Godus in 1 hour, the other 50% gone on other apps across 3 hours.
I think times are needed, or a % drain per minute or something, just to make it that little bit clearer which apps are using battery quicker.

Super heavy useage for just over 6 hours. Charged then started icloud backup. Took it off the charger about an hour after starting the backup.

It's been pretty warm. But for five hours I've been streaming videos, bluetoothing music, and webbing, all on battery. iCloud still says its backing up. I'm at 17% right now.

Skimming through just the screenshots in this thread I'm noticing better battery life iphones on GSM networks (ATT) vs CDMA networks (Verizon).

Today was the first day with my 64gb 6+.

Is the battery life of the iPhone 6 Plus better than battery life of the iPhone 5S?

have you even looked at the battery life ratings on apples website or other threads (including this one) on this forum which are discussing the huge increase for most people in battery life?

Sounds good.

And if you compare the battery life with the S5?

Much much better. Not that is better then iPhone 5S but I find it better then Galaxy S5 too. I can easily go through the day without charging while for the same usage I used to charge 5S round 2 or 3pm and Glaxy S5 around 6pm. I take the iPhone 6 off charge at 6am and put it back on charge around 9 or 10pm.

That sounds great, really good.

Here is my screenshot from the iPhone 6 today - I unplugged it over 16 hours ago and used it for over 4 hours through out the day, still at 57%

The second screen shot is what it took to drop to 50% on September 30th - a similar 4 hours of usage but over a 23 hour period, because I fully charged it and then unplugged it at bedtime and it was on standby all night long.
