Then that's really good. You're going to get anywhere from 5-7 hours "real world" of Usage on the 6. Add to that you were playing Clash of Clans for almost half of the hour used and you're still looking at just over 5 hours at your current pace.

Those people posting that they get 10 (or more) hours of usage from a 6 have just about everything turned off (bluetooth, location services, etc). What's the point of having those features if you turn them off?

Make sure auto-brightness is on and enjoy your phone.

Thanks for your input!
Maybe I'm having too high an expectation due to posts from others boasting excellent battery life. I too have bluetooth, location etc turned off as I do not make use of them. I only turn them on when I require them. Maybe that's why I am expecting more juice as I have everything that I do not require turned off. Brightness is set at auto too!

Wow, Amazing used my iPhone 6 today on Three 4G
Tuneinradio Pro 1 Hour 40 Minutes streaming via bluetooth/4G only

Only lost 14%battery life wow amazing my iPhone 5s always drop to 70% after 1 Hour 40minutes streaming cannot wait to try my iPhone 6 Plus on 4G.

Was this with Auto Brightness on or did you manually set it at a certain brightness percentage....

Also, what was the breakdown of LTE data vs Wifi connection.....

Yes, this was with auto-brightness enabled and through standard use with around 1.5 hours of TuneIn radio steaming over wifi.

It's actually the first time I've checked my battery stats. :)

I'd say around 70% was LTE(4G) use and 30% Wifi. Hope that helps.

It mentions your iPhone has been plugged in since the last full charge. Can you show another cycle below 10% that shows usage without having plugged in the phone since being fully charged?

Sure, my iPhone's on charge right now, but I'll try and run it down from full charge for a more accurate result. I'll quote you again with the results. ;)

Also, when you're streaming your music app, your screen is off right? That may help give you that added juice boost in your battery stats.....

I'll post mine here in a second... waiting for it to hit 1%.

Here is mine....I'm pretty happy with this. Been unplugged since 6am yesterday.

If I didnt use Google Maps/Maps that frequently, I think I could have probably hit that 12hr mark as well.....

I'm going to do a test on my next charge cycle and see how far I can take it.

Yes, of course it's turned off, who plays music with the screen turned on? :)

I only asked this b/c when I stream music on my phone, sometimes I'm surfing the net or browsing reddit while the music is playing in the background....hence, my screen usage time would increase and decrease the battery.......I was trying to eliminate that scenario to make sense of your 12 hours of screen time :)

Hopefully that made sense .

Ah ok, makes sense. But yeh, in most instances people have their phone in the pocket (or in my case, under my pillow while trying to get to sleep) with the screen off.

If I'm using the phone, browsing or messaging, I can watch the battery life peel away quickly. I have an apple Genius Bar apointment set up for tomorrow. I can't get much higher than 6 hours of use out of my 6. I have no idea how people are getting 10. My battery life decreased 7% in the past 15 mins from texting and browsing this thread.

For those that got a replacement phone, SR71 in particular, have you noticed a big improvement?

I'm not happy with mine either. I'm getting about 7 to 7.5 hours tops of usage. If I could even get 8 hours I'd be happy. I will probably return mine and wait a couple of months before purchasing again. Good luck with yours.

Loving the battery life on my 6 plus.
Every day my activities are different, but the battery life remains the same.

So I got my iPhone 6 Monday night, and pretty much did nothing but set up as new, download the apps I wanted, set my wallpaper, passcode, Touch ID, change to the settings I wanted, sign into iTunes, icloud, imessage, etc, and was done for the couple hours I got to use it for the night. It went from 55-35ish percent i believe, and I charged it up to 100% over night.

I proceeded with my day the following morning with 100%, and was in love with my phone. It is my first iPhone (I have long been an iOS user though) so I kept pulling it out all the time, unlocking with Touch ID which I think is amazing, doing random things just to use the phone, and so on. By the end of my day at 3:30ish, I was at 70%. I first headed out at around 7:30.

I used my phone a lot when I finally got home and noticed it was continuing to drain very quickly (seemed to drain pretty quick during the day, too) and by tonight it died with 4 hours and 46 hours of usage.

I am leaving it dead for the last few hours of the night, then I will plug it in to charge till morning. Hopefully this will recalibrate things, get its first full cycle etc. so pretty much I am hoping it gets better.

My brightness was around 45%, Home and Lock screen was at the top of the battery usage list around 30%, next was safari at around 20%, followed by settings at 12%, photos (background activity) 8%, snapchat 6%, and so on. Those are just general numbers I can remember, I don't have he screenshot available right now since I am leaving the phone dead the rest of tonight.

Anyone had similar experience?

Last screen shot before plugging it in.. Pretty awesome battery life so far on my i6 8.02. Almost 2 days. Better than my i5 for sure.

My last screenshot was from iOS 8.0. Last night before bed I upgraded to 8.0.2. Some people in other threads have been complaining that the update has caused additional battery drain.

I did not experience this. Battery life looks really similar. However it's hard to be certain as my usage changed a bit. In this screenshot I didn't have time to play any games and probably played about an extra hour of podcasts while driving in my car.

Overall I don't seem to see any weird battery drain issues though people are claiming that iOS 8.1 is better for battery life.

Screenshot below is from my iPhone 6 plus.

Here's my battery right now. Took it off the charger at around 130pm and it's now 817pm. Let's see how far this battery can go for the night.

Edit: I use my phone a lot but today I was in class and was actually paying attention lol (very interested in the topic).
