so this is where I'm at now. I can probably squeeze another 20 mins of use out of it. First time I tested this last week, I only saw just shy of 6 hours of use so yea it's s little better. I would really like to see 8 full hours. With all these people pegging friggin 10+, it makes me think something is wrong here. I have very few location services on, background apps off and one push iCloud email on and one manual exchange. I wonder if all these apps not being fully updated for iOS 8 is the root cause that some of us are having.
Set up my phone as new, and tried all the battery saving tips alr.
But still facing extremely bad battery life, any suggestions guys?

This is what i've been getting since launch day.. Good? 6+
I'm not happy with mine either. I'm getting about 7 to 7.5 hours tops of usage. If I could even get 8 hours I'd be happy. I will probably return mine and wait a couple of months before purchasing again. Good luck with yours.
Exactly same here.
You wouldn't happen to be in uk? I'm with Three UK and I have a hunch it might be to do with the carrier network? No evidence. Just a hunch.
On iOS 8.0.2,
The iPhone 6 drains approximately 10% battery for every one hour online surfing.
The overnight standby drain is approximately 1-3% depends on the number of notifications and auto app updates.
Bit dissapointed; had motion calibration on though.
Today I'm at 62 percent with 3 hours and 10 minutes of usage. Not too good either.
However; I think messages hogs a lot of power. I do not send messages; but I do receive a boatload of them since the other parties are on iPads and Macs.
Bluetooth, most of the GPS, Most notifications, Push and 4G Are all turned off.
Also; current capacity is 1900MaH (checked with iBackupbot) so should be fine.
so i went to the apple store and spoke with the genius. he pulled some diagnostic data from the phone after i mentioned a ton of stack and backboard crashes. he stated the main crash culprits were Mobile SMS, Mobil Cal and other iCloud related syncing features. seems like they are working a lot in the background over and over and crashing. he said i can try 8.1 betas to see if they help the crashing and i logged out of iCloud then back in again.
Does anyone know why my phone was telling me to wait until my phone was 100% charged until it gave me a reading...
Just hours earlier it was giving me a reading..
I am having HORRENDOUS battery life as well... Looked in the logs and there are 27 crash logs for "stacks+backboardd"... All yesterday. Yesterday, I got just over 4 and a half hours of usage for one entire charge... Today, I am at 30% and have squeezed just over 3 and a half hours of usage. This isn't right.
Has relogging in iCloud helped anything? If this phone got battery life like my iPad mini with Retina, it would be the PERFECT phone. I get over 10 and a half hours of usage from that thing at times.

Could someone give me a consolidated list of what settings I should go play with to help battery life? I know of the many basic ones but just need to know exactly what I need to go do. My battery is at 35%ish as well.
Did you did a hard reboot (home button + power button until the phone turns off?) or could it be possible that your phone all of the sudden just crashed?

Yea I checked my diagnostics and I'm wondering this too, I see it on mine. It seems like after updating to 8.0.2 battery life on my 6 Plus is going down each minute.
