Actually, the 4s battery is slightly bigger than the ip4 battery

Don't forget that iP4 has A4 single core platform, while 4S has A5 dual core and much better graphics processor. All this power need battery!

Does anyone here have a slightly loose home button? I got mine exchanged a little while ago for the battery issue and stuck pixels, now I have this but my battery is fine, I already tried to go back for it and they said it was fine. Just wanted to see if it's normal, please say if you have a loose button

A faster processor doesn't necessarily require more power since it may accomplish a task more quickly. For a given task, the increased power consumption may be offset by the shorter burst of processing time, actually using less power. It depends on the task. iPhone 4S battery--wow, they weren't kidding!

Just finally got a 4S (with updated firmware). Charged fully over night. Listened to music for about an hour commuting into work. Normal usage. Down to 25% battery power by around 11:30 AM. Turned Siri off, brightness way down, location services off. Hit 9% at around 1:00PM. This sucks!!!

No. Just no.

Got my replacement phone yesterday, charged fully, it has been off the charger for 3 hours now and at 86% battery.

That sounds very unusual. My iPhone 4S usually drops from 100% to 97% overnight. I used it over an hour yesterday on the web (fairly heavy usage) and it was still around 70%. Are you sure you didn't have anything else going on?

Sorry you're having issues. I have excellent battery life on my 4S running 5.0. I can go a whole day with about 6 or 7 hours of use varying between music, texting, Facebook, browsing, etc.

I think you need to look at your other software if you are out of power at 1pm. Any social software polling the servers?

Is ther some sort if prolem with the batery?!?!

We are should discus each others stats here. Heres mine.:

Today, goodbatery,

Yesterday: Pretty good

I got 30 hours of standby and 2 hours usage on mine, and still had 30% left. I found that notifications were turning on my screen every time an email came in. Turned that off and my battery rocks! YMMV.

Haven't you heard? Apple decided mobile phones are old news. We're going back to corded phones. :roll eyes:

But really - I hope it really is just a software issue that can get resolved soon. Preferably before my iPhone 4S arrives..

apple forgot that point , that why they not rebuild battery on iphone 4s used the same battery ,

The battery is NOT the same in the 4 and the 4S, ifixit.com will prove you wrong as they always disassemble new apple stuff down to the hardware just to inspect every hardware change there is besides giving us a guide on how to disassemble and reassemble these things!

I'm at 4 hours 50 minutes usage, 51% battery

That's good i guess, depends on what kind of usage though, wifi browsing? Gaming?

Yes, you are correct. The 4S battery has almost 1% more capacity than then battery in the iphone4. (5.25Whr vs 5.3Whr) So though technically they are not "the same", in practice a 0.95% capacity difference is negligible. See battery photos at ifixit.com

Nothing special running. I've only had it for a couple of days. I've been experimenting closing all kinds of stuff--not seeing a difference. Also, what's the point of having all this cool capability if you have to turn it all off? Very disappointed in this device so far.

Restore as new in iTunes. Run it without apps and mail setup. See if that continues. Should cure it. You should get at least 24hrs of standby with 4-7 hours of screen on usage out of a 4S.

But, but...I need apps and mail.
