I would just like to cast one more vote in favor of the Batwing & grey Candyshell. The flashy colors is not my style I love the looks and feel of this case! I use a little car wax to keep the back looking great....:D

You musta gotten a bumm case.
Get it exchanged.
It's a GREAT case.

Confirmed my case was a bumm! I stopped at the local Apple store and while they didn't have black in stock I looked at the white ones and it was obvious that there was a quality difference!! the inner rubber did not stick out all over the place like it had been cut wrong. I sent it back to apple online since they didn't have black in the store and I think I may get another one but for now I have been trying the ugly but protective Otterbox, and so far I like it!!

I've got a brand new, unopened black / grey case, and I'd like the white / grey one. Anyone interested in a swap?

I have this case in black as well. i was surprised how nice it was. it feels good to hold in your hand too. I am thinking of going back and getting the white one also.

Just ordered 2... in black :D Greatest color combo I've seen yet.

I agree!
The black/grey combo is the nicest, classiest.
I wish they would stop making them in such garish colors and make more pastelish, less contrasty colors. Or at least give us a choice.
but the black is the best IMHO.
This is the kewlest case ever.
So much protection and style.
Only cons I can think of is that it is a little hard to take off. (Maybe not a bad thing really) and it does add a little more bulk but the added protection is such a benefit.
WTG Speck!
Now make some more color choices plz. :D

Ordered my case...black with grey. I'm excited to try it on my new iphone. For those of you already using it, how do you find the included screen protector?

excellent feels great on the fingers and dont even notice it!

I picked up a black candyshell from ATT yesterday, but noticed it didn't included a screen protector.

Is ATT doing that on purpose or did I pick up the wrong case? I looks just like the one the OP posted.

Thanks.

I would take it back. Chances are, someone bought the one you currently have, used it with the screen protector, and when they returned it they kept the screen protector. So not only are you without a screen protector, you're also using a used case which you bought for full price.

anyone try removing the provided screen protector and then putting it back again on lets say another iphone?

No. The ones at ATT don't come with one. I bought 2 of them so I know.

Just got mine in a couple days ago :D For you guys that are using the screen protector, what do you think of it? Is it crystal clear? Does it have anti finger print/smudging at all?

I just got this yesterday and so far it seems good. I replaced my Incase Slider for this and was hoping that this would be very similar. It is a bit bulkier than the Incase and wider but, that is obviously due to the rubber insulation and thicker walls to protect the iPhone itself. So far, it's good so we'll see how this goes. The only complaints I have is the Silent/vibrate rocker switch, the chrome bezel being exposed and the Sleep/Wake button. You need to use either your index finger or if you have "Shrek" like fingers, you have to use your pinky to put it on vibrate mode. The Sleep/Wake button requires you to push it down considerably to activate it. Other than that, it seems to be a winner.

this case just keeps looking better and better. I'm gonna be switching from an Incase Slider too. I kind of want one of the grey/lime green or grey/ orange ones off ebay but I might just pull the trigger and get the white/grey one at the apple store.

I just realized that the Speck Candy Shell case is NOT Dock or nor is it universally 30 pin connector friendly. My car charger 30 pin connector fits but, lifts up the lower lip a bit, and when I plug in my audio/video 30 pin connector for my TV, it will NOT fit. I had to take my iPhone out from the case to get it to function. So this is def a problem....darn.
I just have to keep in mind that I also have the Zagg Invisibleshield on but, only the back cover so it creates a thin layer for the case itself. But, regardless if I had it or not, it won't fit some or most 30 pin connectors.

It may be because of your shield. I have none of these issues. I use a universal dock tray that came with my Switcheasy cases, which works perfectly in the dock, my Griffin Auto Pilot fits, and so does my Video out for my TV.

I got this case a couple days ago, and I'm concerned about the thin area below the home button and above the doc connector. It kinda hangs on my pocket sometimes when I take it in and out and pulls away from the bezel. Anybody experiencing the same thing?

No, I don't think its because of the shield. It's millimeter thick if that. I'm not too concerned about docking my iPhone, just charging it with the 30 pin connector. I have the Apple TV/Audio cable that has a thick connector. The new 30 pin connector that comes with the 3G/3GS is thin and sleek so it fits no problem.

I might have gone back to a candyshell if they had dropped the gloss backs for a matte finish. maybe on version 3. They should also thicken up the strip by the dock, I never had an issue but a few times i went to pull it out of my pocket and i grabbed it directly by that piece. I had 2 candyshells and neither of them ever broke, but i babied that area.

Its a great case!

BUT CANADIAN BUYERS BE AWARE!!!!!

Speck ships with Fedex and after about 2-3weeks of having my case i just received another invoice in my mail from Fedex for another 19$ charge for their "broker" fees..

So this case at the end costed me 51$... The fact that fedex does this dirty s*** of a move sucks! The total custom fees was like 2$ but the broker fee was another 17$.
