I returned mine. (Luckily, speck is on the way back home for me) I used mine for ONE DAY and it showed scratches that normally would have developed over 6 months to a year. Even before I put the case on, I applied car wax, and it didn't seem to help at all. It's a shame too, I loved the color combo of it.

This would be the case for me if the sleep button wasnt so darn hard to puch with the case on, and if it were easier to to on/ off. Its so nice looking, but man is it difficult to use. Almost broke the case and phone trying to get it off at the Apple store, and I even read the directions to get it off. I could see the corner splitting on the case.
That Batwing Black Candyshell case looks amazing. I've had my iPhone 3GS for a couple months now without a case--I've been holding out to find one I really like.
The Speck site is on backorder for them so I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer.

Yeah, it makes the jack recessed like the first iPhone. I bought one of those $2 adapters, and leave it plugged into my car aux cable, since Apple headphones and my Shure headphones fit fine without the adapter.
I just got this case from Amazon and initial impressions are very good. It's a solid case for sure. Very nice design and looks great. This is not a case for someone looking for a Incipio Feather type case at all, but it's certainly not huge.
I am really happy with this case, now I'm going to try taking the phone out...

Just received my waxstick white candyshell (had the batwing black about a month), and it looks pretty slick. While the incase slider is still my go to case, I'm really liking the feel in the hand of the candyshell, and the protection it offers.
I got a Belkin TuneBase FM for my car, and as I thought, it doesn't fit with the Candyshell on. The bottom part of the case is just thick enough to keep the dock connector from fitting in. I bought a SendStation Dock Extender from MyGearStore, it should fix the problem.
On the bright side, I took off my case for the first time in the month I've had it and NO DIRT was in the case except for around the camera and headphone jack.

Unfortunately the new candyshell colors dont apply. On their twitter page it gives a link to all the Speck products that the code works for. It sucks as I want the Black/Grey one and 16 bucks plus shipping is a steal.
This happened to me too. Don't use the link. I was able to order the white wax using the promo code.
Thats how I initially did it and it still didn't work. I just instead went to Amazon and got it for 28.01(25.78 plus tax) and free 2-day shipping with the Amazon Prime free trial that I have already turned off so it doesn't charge me at the end of the month.
Well I went directly to the Speck Candyshells on their site and applied my coupon to the white/grey, which is one of the new ones. The black/grey was right next to it and I originally selected that one before changing my mind. You missed an opportunity, sad to say!
I got my Batwing Black candyshell last night. This case is great. The only flaw I have found so far is the volume button is a little off and hard to use.

Yeah it sucks but i was able to get one off Amazon for 25 bucks and free 2 day shipping. MyGearStore charges 5.95 for shipping so it probably would have came out to almost the same. I did take advantage of the 25% off sale they are having and got a white switcheasy rebel serpent.
I got this case in batwing black last night. I have to say I have spent alot of money on crap cases. This case is by far the best case I have found. I wish this case came out a year ago because I would have saved alot of money.( I know those hideous colors came out a while ago) It looks awesome, feels great and I can tell if you drop the phone on pavement or tile, the phone will be fine.

I just got mine today, It's a pain to work all of the bubbles out.
The big problem is that it makes it harder to see the screen. There's this wierd grid effect it has on the screen. Do any of you have this problem?

For those of you who dont like the headphone hole do like I did on my switcheasy rebel, there are 2 ways to make the hole bigger...
1. Use a drill.
2. My prefered method, take sharp larger paper scisors, slip one of the blades in the hole until it stops (because of the width of the blade) and pressing LIGHTLY rotate the blade in the hole and you'll see it start to shave the plastic, keep going gently until the hole is the right size
Worked perfectly on my switcheasy rebel, should work with the candyshell
