Beats 1 Worldwide 24/7 Live Radio With Zane Lowe Now Available

I think there are some decent songs so far - I could do without the cheesy distorted guitar rock songs but that's how it goes when you have a station made for a wide audience.
 
So I lasted about 15 minutes with Beats1 before switching off...

Too much talking, not enough music.

Liking everything else though...

I feel like it's excellent background music to have on all day, but for listening actively with headphones...I'll stick to my tracks.
 
Still no landscape mode though. Not sure what the deal is with Apple not giving 6 Plus users a landscape version of the music app. All that extra screen going to waste.

Doesn't seem as bad as most radio stations. Beats 1 has like 3minutes music and 10-30seconds talking in-between. Also sometimes they just play another song straight after without the talking.
 
Why didn't Dre introduce Apple Music. He could have owned it and made it a proper one more thing.

Wow. Not one single song on that list that I'd want to listen to. AC/DC is the only one that wouldn't make me change the station if it came on the radio, and even then, I still wouldn't voluntarily listen to it.

It's a bit more contemporary lol. This isn't classic rock dad's station. Lowe is going to play music that belongs in 2015 for the most part.

It's all mainstream pop garbage. There's plenty of modern, new rock from this year that they could play, they just don't.
 
I wonder what time the shows proper will be on. I would assume Zane's show would be 6am-8am for the east coast? Or is he timed for LA?

Just updated to 8.4 looking forward to the three month trial.
But, guess what, if you do not have attached a credit card to your account, you are not allowed to join the free trial.
I guess they speculate that everyone who will sign up for the trial will continue or just forget to cancel.
With all the hype in the keynote of the free trial, it is very disapointing that people can not just participate in the three month free trial and decide later to buy the service.

I have my taste in music, and I've listened to Zane's show for years because he plays a lot of stuff I like, and I know I'll likely hear some new stuff that I will like as well.

So not sure what you mean - if I don't have my own taste in music, who's taste in music do I have?

Maybe you're one of those 14 year olds who likes a band so long as no-one else has heard of them, and immediately stops liking them if they get played on the radio or other people hear them and start to like them. I remember that sort of thing from my school days.

LOL I hate rock music and if I was listening to Beats radio and AC DC came on I would instantly turn it off. We all have opinions and likes and that's the nature of a music station that tries to cater to a wide audience while also trying to stay relevant to the times.

Where have you been. Every free trial service requires a payment source.

Oh, okay.

I'll give it another try later.. I must have tuned in at the wrong time, as I had over 10 minutes of Zane talking....
