BeatsX Earphones Launch on Apple Store for $150

Still wondering why exactly they were interested in Beats.
There is no technology, it's just branding and Apple has a stronger brand themselves.
Establishing Apple as a headphone brand wouldn't have taken too long.

Was it not a powerplay to bring Dre and Lovine plus Beats Music onboard for Apple Music????

Can't redeem the three month Apple Music code as the box greys out when you state it's the Beats X you are registering. Anyone else have the same issue?

I really hope these go up on Amazon soon. I've been hoarding gift cards since November to redeem for these, but I'm not sure how much longer I can wait, especially when the Apple store near me has them in stock.

No, it is. At least with our Beats Solo3s. The increased operating distance is amazing compared to "normal" Bluetooth, we get noticeably better battery life and much faster quick charging over the Solo2s, and (this is the big one for me) switching between Bluetooth outputs is a far less frustrating experience than anything that has ever come before.

IME, if you've ever been annoyed with the shortcomings of Bluetooth connections, W1 is probably the fix.

Well at 6am CST several of the stores in my area showed as being available for pickup. Now however, 20 minutes before any of them open, they all say available Feb 15. I assume employees are buying them up for themselves and friends and not saving any for customers.

I know. I own the AirPods. I mean, you spend 20 seconds pairing Bluetooth headphones, then years pass and you don't do it again.

I switch sources and outputs on a regular basis depending on where I am and what I'm doing, and my daughter is constantly switching between her iPhone and iPad as the source for her Solo3s.

I suppose if you only paired one set of earbuds/headphones to one phone, I can see it how wouldn't be a big deal.

Remove the "b" from the all Beats products! Keep the branding to the packaging, keep the devices pure and clean!

Ordered mine in black. Should be here Wednesday. Of the 4 local stores around here only the furthest one had black in stock. I'm fine with waiting. With gift cards, I only paid $107 out of pocket.

I want to know the sound quality compare to Jaybird x3. I own Jaybird blue X (original one) and really like the sound. Hope this Beats X is as good as Jaybird X series.

Just got them. They do sound better than AirPods partly because they're more noise isolating. But, the cords are annoying. They look ridiculous. These are going back.

I really wanted get these but knowing they are not sweat proof I can't pull the trigger I was looking to use them for running/biking with the Apple Watch, but living in Phoenix they'll probably die during the summer. Also from the review videos the wires did seem a bit longer than I had hoped. Ugh.

Funny that AirPods start flooding the stores just when BeatsX launch. I bought my AirPods on launch day but I just reserved a pair for pickup today for my wife's bday hours after reserving BeatsX for pickup today.
