Just got them. They do sound better than AirPods partly because they're more noise isolating. But, the cords are annoying. They look ridiculous. These are going back.
Oh how we differ. I purposely want the cords, but don't want to be tethered to my phone.
I want people so see I have something in my ears so don't walk up to me and start talking! I won't hear you! LOL!

does it come with the 3 months Apple Music as forums say?
Yes and no. It comes with a promo code. You register the Beats with the promo code and they email you another one for $29.97 in iTunes credit. You can use it for Apple Music or anything else on iTunes. If you have the student account for AM, you essentially get 6 months for free.

For someone who owns an iMac, MBA, iPhone and iPad and switch between these devices regularly, it's precious seconds saved whenever I use my airpods, and which makes all the difference between me using a pair of wireless earphones and not bothering at all in the first place.

I prize convenience and ease of use first and foremost. It doesn't matter how good the sound quality of a pair of headphones is if it's so inconvenient or uncomfortable to use that I end up not bothering with it in the first place. And after experiencing the convenience of the W1 chip and the iCloud sync, I don't think I can go back to a regular pair of headphones ever again, wireless or otherwise.
Notice I did not mention the airpods. I see the utility in them because of the charging case and being fully wireless. This is more directed at beatsX.

Another product with a legacy connector to hit the shelves.
Interesting how USB-C is the future but none of Apples stuff is actually shipping with USB-C

So let me get this right? You all are willing to shell out 150$ just cause of a w1 chip that will save you roughly 1 min from pairing the device? Jaybirds have much better sound quality and can be had for under 100$. Wow the apple juice is strong.

Sound quality is very subjective and to me the Jaybirds X3 are disapointing in terms of sound quality. Even with the app and the frequency response tweaked, they do not sound good. Maybe the beats won't sound very good either (always had a hard time with the beats sound color) but I will give them a chance.

And price wise beats X are 179$ vs 159$ for the Jaybird X3 in Canada (lowest I've seen Jaybirds go down to is 129$).

Calling out gratuitous rudeness.

@Kabeyun quotes:"The phrase "Get rid of that awful 'b' logo or refresh it" is not an example of dumbness or arrogance. Dude, he just doesn't like the darn logo. Relax."

But yet, telling someone else to "Relax" and calling them "Dude" is not an example how you defend someone setting a positive example over your definition of "Rudeness." This post depicts you completely contradict your original intent. You can't right with a wrong with your own execrable comments. It doesn't work like that, but maybe double standards do for you.

The X2 are almost identical sound quality wise to the x3 and can be had for under 100$.

Anyone having success with store pickup? Ordered at 8 EST and haven't received the pickup ready email yet.
If you can't wait and it's not to far, just go down there with your order receipt. I 've done that before and although I'm sure they would prefer you wait, but they will accommodate.

I'm in the same boat - ordered at 4:30 am est for a black and white pair and local stores show out of stock now for black

I bought the AirPods specifically because they don't create a seal. If I'm wearing earphones while walking down the street or driving, I still want to be able to hear what's going on around me.
Yeah I get that. That has its use too. Ideally there would be a third party fit seal you could place on top and remove when needed. The ones currently on sale don't work well. There's definitely a huge business opportunity there. If i could be bothered I would jump on that. But I can't ha

Buy one or the other and put the rest in a Roth IRA...oh millennials (disclosure...i am one too)

I just like having options. The Airpods are ideal for weightlifting. The Beats-X provide the extra security with the strap for running. Best of both worlds for me.

I switch sources and outputs on a regular basis depending on where I am and what I'm doing, and my daughter is constantly switching between her iPhone and iPad as the source for her Solo3s.

I suppose if you only paired one set of earbuds/headphones to one phone, I can see it how wouldn't be a big deal.
What happens when you have paired to say an ipad, iphone, and macbook pro at different times then have all three in the same room? My Qc 35's keep connecting to both my phone and MBP at same time.

I use the Powerbeats3 for weight lifting and running. Zero issues.

My preference for my fitness wearables isn't a "First world Problem" at all. I already stated previously I like having options. There is no issue with my scenario. And not everyone utilizes the same method or has the same fit when wearing the Airpods/Beats-X. It Appears you're the only one having a problem with my set-up. But thanks for your concern.

I tried that today in Queens, NY. I went there after running an errand, even though I didn't receive the ready email. They did not have the black pair I ordered. Since the email said it was available today they said they will probably get them in later. They did have white so I just got those instead. Worth calling first.

Still wondering why exactly they were interested in Beats.
There is no technology, it's just branding and Apple has a stronger brand themselves.
Establishing Apple as a headphone brand wouldn't have taken too long.
I agree the beats brand is not for grown folk. I think grown men wearing beats branded products look ridiculous.

Do these things access Siri and can they pick up calls? Maybe a dumb question but I simply don't know. I hated Siri controls when I first got my Airpods but now have found it very useful in some ways. If these have in line controls and Siri I would consider them.
They do have all of these. Come visit apple.com and check its specifications..

After reading this I visualized the Super Bowl commercial with the kids dressed as adults wearing beats. :)

These will be a better value than the AirPods, but Beats are still pretty overpriced for what they are. There are better options out there at this price point.
