Haven't been to a show in awhile but Joan Jett and Carmen Electra came to eat where I work. Joan was awesome, very nice, Carmen needs a momma. Joan will be doing a free show in NY this summer.

i saw Tool in october.. friggin' nuts.
saw Amon Tobin (amazing brazillian nu-jazz electronica/dj) in NYC a few weeks ago..

but i'm incredibly excited to be going to Bonnaroo this year (3 weeks!). absolutely ridiculous lineup... highlights for me are Tool (again), The Flaming Lips, The Decemberists, The Roots, Feist, John Butler Trio, Tortoise, and Rodrigo y Gabriela, not to name many, many more.

and then i'm capping my summer off by seeing Dispatch on July 15th :]

Tool on July 3rd. Can't wait. :D

damn ... I should have caught them in Reno/Vegas; they seem to have skipped the NW on this leg of the tour and I missed them last round as well. Now i know i won't be seeing them for awhile. :(

In the last week I've seen 8Track (funk, soul, jam from Boulder, CO.), Blue Scholars/Common Market (positive hip-hop from the NW), and Black Angels (think Doors; heavy on the Native American influence). All fantastic shows.

Tomorrow night ... Skinny Puppy! :D

Last night we saw Gruff Rhys & Lisa Jen at the Hay-on-Wye festival. It was short, about 40 minutes, and was recorded for BBC Radio Wales. He was interviewed about his new album 'Candylion' before playing songs from it. 'Twas good but different.

"In the good old days. It's retro-terrorism!"

I saw them last September at the Palace of Auburn Hills and the show was amazing. I didn't think they'd ever come back around here (I have this feeling 10,000 Days will be their last album, and this may be their last tour) so when I heard they were coming back, I decided I had to go. :D

I visited Jorn's concert this April (Norwegian hard rock singer - a real Volcano!), then I'm going to listen to Finntroll live (finnish humppa-metal) on june the 2nd. And at last Kamelot from Florida are coming to our place on 18th of June (real Symphonic Progressive Power-metal!!!)

Saw the Killers in April at Madison Square Garden:

Really an inspiring show. You could tell they felt honored to play at the garden.

July 10th for me. Floor tickets.

There is no floor where they are playing on the 3rd, but we got "pavilion" seating, less than 20 rows from the stage... and we'll be standing up... so it's like floor except for it's outside. But it's covered, I believe, so if it rains, we'll stay dry. :D

Will this be your first time seeing them live?

Last shows: AWOL One, Josh Martinez, Mine+US and Dj Hoppa, Terminal Brothers/ Evol G & Hecca and Stickerville.

Watch out for Evol G & Hecca steppin' it up in the dub-step/grim scene.

Up next: Sage Francis, Buck 65, Alias, Buddy Wakefield, and Battles.

yeap. it's gonna be good!

i just saw black rebel motorcycle club on thursday night. a totally underrated band. great show until the drummer got sick and couldnt come back out. but honestly the rest of the band handled it really well and played some acoustic songs - probably totally winging it - and for the final two songs the drummer from the opening act jumped in so they still went out rockin.

I saw Ned's Atomic Dustbin last night in Stourbridge in a packed out tiny club. There was a great atmosphere and the band played well too, it was their last warm up before playing at Glastonbury.

I saw Arctic Monkeys last night at the CIA in Cardiff. Whilst they were perfectly fine, I was bored after twenty minutes. Maybe I'm getting old.

The support act were Reverend and the Makers, who were a bit, er, crap one-dimensional.

:(

I saw Art Brut on monday at Leeds Cockpit,
Saw CSS in Jan i think it was Leeds Cockpit
Going to the full weekend Leeds Carling Weekend Festival seeing loads of bands, then seeing the klaxons at leeds uni 1st decemeber i think it is :)

Saw The Arcade Fire a couple of weeks ago. I guess I'm kind of a latecomer to their music, but the concert really sealed the deal for me. Amazing. Such a great vibe in the crowd, too -- which is something I've been missing from concerts lately.

The next big show: Daft Punk in July! Can't wait!
