Guster last night. It was pretty super. I'll have to admit that I'm not a big fan of their newer material, but the mere fact they played their old stuff more then half the time made the concert very entertaining, and I'd go see them again if given the chance.

That said, the opening band was extremely horrible, god awful bad. One of the worst bands I've ever heard, and that includes high school talent show bands. They were realllllllly bad.

At St. Lawrence University? I was there, pretty close to stage.

Guster was amazing, as usual. I have to agree that the opening band was pretty bad. Not my style of music.

That's the one. So was I, about 10-15" back from the center of the stage.

Tall guy, grey coat, white roots cap.

PS. Anyone ever been to the Rochester Auditorium Center or the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs? O.A.R. plays both this summer and I'm wondering what each venue is like. Thanks

I may go and see them, but I'd mainly be going for Clutch who are the tour support.

cant wait

saw Mudvayne and Sevendust (original lineup) month or two ago...oh ten ANTHRAX....with JOEY up front......LOL

I gotta admit I saw BEP in concert here in Mexico two weeks ago. Was one of the best parties/concerts I have ever been to. The energy was just incredible. Really awesome and I was surprised that even songs that I couldn't listen to anymore sounded great live.

Boo! :p ... I'm sure it was a good show, but I refuse to support blatent commercial tours. BEP has lost all of my respect. The whole Dr.P thing was fine, but now that it's the Will, Fergi and (insert your commercial product here; currently Honda Civic) band i can't give them anymore of my voting $'s.

I know i know ... i live in America.

Hey BEP? Remember when your studio burned down after you went commercial? "It's gunna getcha getcha getcha getcha one way or another ... it's gunna find you ... " - BEP Karma

Have they fogotten so soon? Green Eyed Peas?

I don't know price was more than all right and I just wanted to see them party regardless of all the other bull. I gotta admit though I liked the pre-Fergie stuff a lot better.

I saw circa survive and saves the day a few weeks back. Muy incredibe.

I'm aware that's not perfect espanol. :)

I got pushed back a fair amount so maybe I saw or even bumped into you. I'm tall, had on a green shirt, red hair. You might have saw me.

I think we can agree that drunk guy in the front row was ridiculously annoying. I can't believe Guster even played a song about him.

Eisley kicked ass ... i'm mesmerized by them. They're channelling some wonderful energy. Those kids are beautiful through and through.

I was also pretty impressed with Simon Dawes live performance. Interesting influences and cool Talking Heads and Radiohead covers. :)

If i was ten years younger i would have been swimming in girls ... i'm getting old.

Dan Cauffman? Go Tri-Delta? :D "Tri-Delta ruins every Guster song" :p

From where I was I couldn't hear him at all, all I saw was that stupid giant arrow  I'm kind of curious who it was that hit the singer in the face with something (I think it was a ping pong ball) at the end of the show, he deserved a good beating.

Anyone going to the Beale Street International Festival? I'm getting tickets for my son & co. Something like 60 different artists from B.B. King to Chicago over three days on the bluffs.

I just saw Michael Franti and Spearhead on saturday. It was an awesome show, he played for two and a half hours.

Dope ... i still haven't caught him live yet. :(

Just ordered tickets for both places. Incredibly stoked for those two shows. Jack's Mannequin opens, should be alright. I was a fan of Something Corporate back in high school so that should be interesting.

I went to Live105's BFD concert yesterday even though I'm sick. :p

Acts that stood out for me, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are amazing live! Karen O is... just... wow. That's all I can say. Yellowcard is also pretty impressive live. Caught the last two songs of Anti-Flag, and they're also good live. I <3 Franz Ferdinand and they did not disappoint. So much fun live. And the Strokes were also really good. They had a theme for their set; played their singles in reverse-chronological order. It was actually quite a lot of fun. Um, AFI headlined and they were really good too, but we left before their set was over to attempt to beat the rush out, that and it was freezing cold out.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MUSIC SCENE!

Good call. Local bands need it and they are often better than any commercial bands nowadays. (How does rubbish like Craig David ever become famous?)

As for concerts... Well it would've been U2 in Melbourne but they postponed it. Way to let us down again boys!! Please don't do that again.

saw toad the wet sprocket last week in baltimore on their reunion tour. was good, though i was in a horrible spot the whole time. good to see the boys back together.

tonight i'm going to see bane in DC... quite a different scene, i realize. hah. but old man bane is going to rock, as always, without the microphone
