Anyone watching the gymnastics right now? The last two American high bar routines were pretty bad ass. The things that these men/women (not only the Americans) are able to do continues to amaze me.
Those high bar routines were incredible. I have been blown away on multiple occasions this olympics.

Just watched a Chinese man do a crazy still rings routine (the defending world champion). The strength involved to do some of that is mind-boggling.
Watching men's double trap right now. Very impressive. With eighteen pairs to go, one American is in first by four (he set an Olympic record in qualifying with 145) and another is tied for fourth, behind third by two.

They were both very impressive. Those release moves are scary, and one-armed full circles are totally crazy.

Not sure if it was mention here but I just got text message on Olympics and it mention the foot steps where CG except those on the stadium and the little girl singing was not her voice but another girl that well did not fit the "image" they wanted to portray at the opening ceremony.
Yes, they were. However, everyone in the US should have been aware of this fact during the opening ceremony because it was announced by the broadcasters. Of course, two days later the same news network released it as breaking news.
Besides, it was pretty obvious; I knew immediately that they were CG. It certainly wasn't a secret, despite what the news organizations want you to think.
If it wasn't China no one would care.
i heard a rumor that the u.s. kicked out an athlete from going to the olympics due to not having a compelling tear jerking story that nbc is known for. can anyone confirm this please? thanks.
