I ordered my 268 Gold Max on 9/18 with saying that it will be available on release day. My order was stuck on processing and I found that a further Best Buy had it in stock this morning so ended up ordering there, getting a pickup confirmation within 15 minutes and got in and out in 40 minutes, phone in hand. Not exactly how I wanted it, but its okay.

My in store pick up is still says pre ordered and processing still, I ordered on the 18th :/ no email or nothing yet

My order finally got fixed and shipped via ups. Its in same state like 70 miles away. It claims monday delivery. Does uos deliver on saturday? I still wanna send the damn thing back due to my hatred for best buy and att.

Best Buy officially sucks - After being told 2 times by local store employees that my Xs Max 512GB was physically there for pick up today, I just checked my account (because NO email sent - great communications skills BB) and my status changed to: Pickup Delay.

Gee, I hope I can get it from them by October 21st like my account states or they will cancel my order. Well, guess what Best LIE? I already cancelled it. Picking up a Max 256GB from my local AT&T store tomorrow morning - they have 4 in atm and I just reserved 1.

Remember everyone - This IS Best Buy's M.O. Do your research next time, I know I will...I wish I had this time, but at least I know I'll save myself from future headaches with the next iPhone launch in about 365 days.

Just can't believe I got up early last Friday morning to pre-order at 3:10 am ET only to have this happen. Oh well, live and learn, and never get burned by this slipshod operation.

Congrats to all of you that somehow got your Xs.

I am trying to get a issue resolved with returning my Note9 that they received already just not refunded me. And I got transfered 7 times, and the last time I got transfer, it was a 2 hour wait. I had it call me back, and still waiting after 20 minutes. It had a message apologizing for all the messed up orders and that Best Buy was working on resolving the issues.

How does Best Buy handle the return label for sending phones back to the carrier when you purchase in store? In the past I’ve always done online orders so it was emailed to me, however I bought this phone a few hours ago and didn’t receive anything in store nor via email.

They sent my return labels in an email.

I ordered a silver 250GB XS Max on 9/18 and got it today around 10:30 am. No issues. The packaging confirmed that it was shipped from a local store or distribution center. I was a bit worried because it was just the iPhone box in soft tyvek packaging instead of a cardboard shipping box, but nothing was damaged. Sorry others did not have such a smooth experience.

is there a reason why you guys went with best buy for the preorder? I ALWAYS go with apple...but i'm just curious as to why Best Buy????

I preordered mines at AT&T and it was back ordered but Best Buy wasnt. Preordered the Max 256GB in Gold a day later and got it today at my house.

best buy have AT&T bogo deal if you do a new line. walked into to the brick and mortar store and walked out with a Max and an x. they had plenty in stock. So, no need for pre-ordering via the mail. rep said deal ends tomorrow.

Not sure. I would search your order number online.

No local Apple Store, so it would have to be shipped. Not interested in a $1450 phone sitting outside for hours before my wife and I get home from work. By ordering at Best Buy, which is on my way home from work, I can pick it up in the store.

For me, it was due to Best Buy being more convenient.

As expected I walked in to my Best Buy and our 5 minutes later with both of my phones. Very easy process. Sorry to see people are having such trouble

Probably because Best Buy gave out points when you purchase there where you can use the points to apply to other purchases

They had all the phones in stock at the physical location I basically just walked in and walked out with the iPhone XS Max and the iPhone X yesterday

Best Buy for AT&T have a buy one get one free iPhone deal basically you get a iPhone XS Max and then get a $700 towards another iPhone with the new line activation. I don’t think you can get this deal anywhere else because at the AT&T website it’s only buy one get one free for the iPhone 8.

called Bestbuy Mobile this morning and was told that there is "mobile activation ID error".
Bestbuy staff has to manually call Sprint to clear the error and calling them did not get them to do my case first. I just have to 'sit and wait'.

I have to use Bestbuy.com because of a grandfathered Sprint plan as this is the only way to keep my planned intact... I guess I'm out of luck and will just sit here and wait :(

Yeah, they were having that issue all yesterday. Doubt it will be fixed any time soon.

So I got my iPhone on launch day with Best Buy. Now I saw that the Apple Watch was available in my area so ordered it. I just got an email saying there’s something wrong with your order. I calling them now and it’s a 2 hour wait

I just got the same error with AT&T. This isn’t a carrier problem this is all Best Buy’s. They’re trying to fix their horrible system while blaming it on the carriers.

Ordered a XS Max 256 on the 14th through Best Buy.com. My status was preordered until about noon on the 20th and then I received a “action needed” alert so I called them and have them the info they needed. The customer service rep. I spoke with made it sound like that was all they needed and it would go through fairly quickly. Overnight on the 20/21 I got a shipping delayed email/text. So I called twice yesterday. Once in the morning and once at about 2pm and got told it was the SIM activation that was holding it up and again they both told me that it should be quick. After not hearing anything more I cancelled my order first thing this morning. I then went into sprint to look at their accessories and was told they had the XS Max and walked out all set up in 45 minutes. This was the first time I had preordered anything and I learned my lesson to just go through my carrier from now on.
