I was 25th in line at local Best Buy in PA and had my choice of 32 or 16GB but in white... I couldn't pull the trigger though because I want th black. No 64GB though at my store...

I ended up going to the Walmart store at Norterra, Im first in line, my wife is second,we're the one ones here. They have 10 in stock, not sure on quantities of each but I can see the first row of five. They have 1 16Gb White (which we're buying), 2 16GB black (we're buying 1) and 2 priced at $699 but I cant make out what kind.
Theres still no one else here...we got a couple stools at the electronics counter and now they are doing numbers to pass out.

I tried calling when I got out of work but they have a recorded message that says if you are calling about the iPad, call back tomorrow. Everything will be first come first serve.

Well I know I wouldn't want to be answering phones today at Best Buy. Probably 9 out of 10 questions are asking about iPad stock. Based on the recorded message they won't know if they have any left until they do inventory tonight which is bs...they know what they have and they know what they are selling.
I will call them in the morning and see what it is like. I was perfectly content with my online order until a couple of people left work early and got them from walmart. Unfortunately I want 3G so that wasn't an option.
Um....Search for iPad 2...find the model you want...check availability and it tells you which stores have that model.
Very helpful to west coasters who can plan which store to camp out at right now, at least my speculation tells me, it would be helpful.
East coast it might be less helpful because people are probably buying them and it may change before you get there.
Of course, the info could also be wrong. Who knows.
just heard from a friend -- there are about 15 people in line at best buy in northgate. i just got off work and am heading there now!
#6 in line at Greenbrier Store in Chesapeake, VA. Got there at 3:00. When checking out at 5:15, there must have been 100+ people in line. Got the 64GB ATT Black
Wife is at Independence store in Virginia Beach and has a her 64GB ATT White Ticket in her hands. She showed up right at 5:00 at that store.
At home now restoring setting from old to new iPad. Felt kind of cool knowing I was a select few at that moment in time with the new iPad. I know the numbers of iPad 2 owners is now steadily growing!

So I wasn't expecting huge lines around where i live but i was dead wrong. line stretched half way through the mall and then outside. They were sold out of 3g at the apple store.
BEST BUYS WITHOUT APPLE SECTIONS HAVE 3G's TOO
my local best buy only sells ipods/iphones/ipads and was ONLY stocked with 3G ipads but they were way sold out by the time i got there.

just for stihs and giggles I stopped by a verizon store on my way out and they said they didn't stock any in store but that they will ship them to people who order with free 2 day fedex TO BE DELIVERED BY THIS TUESDAY
don't bother waiting weeks for apples online system if you're getting a 3g one.

Just back from Best Buy with my iPad 
I got there a little after 3pm and there were 15 people in line. By 5pm, the line was out the door (well over 100 people). They did say they were most likely sold out but people were waiting to find out when I left.

There were the figures for the Newington, CT location. A lot of us were in line and the manager kept saying they had "plenty of each".
Since when did 5 amount to plenty? Guy in front of me got the last 32, only option left was 16 white. I passed
Best Buy in Lexington KY had tons. I was in the third set that went in. I was first in that set. The first set was like 20 people, the next set was 10. There were probably about 30 more people behind us. About the tenth person behind me, they ran out the second sku. I believe the first was 64 black ATT, and the second was 64 White ATT. I think. But otherwise, they seemed to have a 10. Didn't see a lot of people upset at missing out on their choice. But man, the line was really long.
That information has never been accurate for me. Every time I have ordered something that was available for in store pick up, they were in fact out of stock. And that is after paying and everything.
