Best Buy Handing Out iPad 2 'Tickets' at 4:30 PM Tomorrow + Reserve for March 12th

My best buy said only 20 coming in and 1 per person. It looks like if you want guaranteed quantity then youre better off at an Apple Store.

15:15 Blankney BB about 15 - 20 ahead of me. Rumor on the line is 50-60 units available.
 
man, I thought i'd be ok heading over about 4. but looks like that might still be rough. At least there's an apple store on the way home as a back up but I'd rather get those reward zone points.
 
My local best buy just told me that they will only have the WiFi version. The 3G will only be sold in the apple store???

Just talked to the manager here...

Best Buy on Winchester is only getting 15 total. Only 16 & 32GB. Only have 5 32GB Black. No 3G models. I'm the first in line so far.

Best Buy at Wolfchase is getting 160 and they have every model version. So that means about 10 of each. Small line now.
 
Anyone know about AppleCare? If you buy an iPad at Best Buy, can you get AppleCare too, or do you have to go with one of their crappy warranties?

damn, none of the best buys around here have those. Which means no reward zone. Good to know in advance though. Gives me more time to go straight to the apple store.

I don't know about AppleCare, but BB employees have been walking up and down advertising their warranties.
 
Just found it on Apple's web site. If AppleCare isnt offered at Best Buy, it can be purchased seperately up to a year later from Apple's web site. Just make sure you register your iPad with the AppleCare Plan. Never buy a "warranty" from Best Buy. AppleCare, is the bomb.

Best buy here in Skokie, il only got in 20 in stock total bout 12 ppl in line I'm 10th heh. Seated inside back of the store no tickets as of yet
 
My local BB in S. IL doesn't have a line. They said to be there at 4:30 to get a ticket. When I asked where that was going to occur, back by the Apple stuff or up front, he said he wasn't sure yet. Seriously? So, for the next hour it's free internet at McDonald's to kill time.
 
The Best Buy at Norterra (Phoenix) has about 10 people in line already. They will start giving out vouchers between 4:00 - 4:30.

It's 3:13 now n my BB is dead. No line n no sign of one forming anytime soon. I'm gonna talk to someone...
 
Called my local BB about 15 min ago (3:15PM local) and they would not release stock numbers and said there were about 5 people in line... Was going to wait till 4, but I might head up there now.
 
BB at Arrowhead has 12 in line right now, I'm #6. Line is forming inside the store. Supposedly they have all sizes and models.

Line has formed. 7 people long as of right now.
 
Well, my hopes went out the window at BB. After getting in line and being 6th in line, got email from manager that they DID NOT get any white 64GB wifi!
Ack!!!!!!!! Got that email 1 min after getting in line.

Immediately left and am now at the Walmart that said they had in a white 64 Gb wifi. Talked to them, no line set up so first person to come to counter at 5 gets them. They only have 2 64Gb white and 2 64GB black. That's it! So I am now waiting in electronics till 5pm.

I had better get first white 64GB white!

Thanks for the heads up...you mind if I check back in with you as time goes by? Me and my wife want to head down to one of the Best Buys (since Target seems to only be getting Black models in) and are trying to figure out which one. The Norterra Best Buy line is outside the store.
 
4:30 pm in 23 street best buy nyc. About 200 people. They just announced tickets and pitching the hotspot services.5th in line.

Tickets at Skokie il best buy have been distributed I got the last 32gb they only have 16gb in white and black 32 was available only in black 64 gb not in ATM at this location.
 
Best Buy in Newnan, GA. Got there at 4:25p, about 25 people in line. We did not get one. Went over to Computer Advantage and got a ticket for a 32 wi-fi.

I'm in line as of 3:45pm and I'm 13th. Hope 13 is my lucky number for 32GB WiFi.

Tickets handed out at BB on Rea rd. south of Charlotte. Black 64gb wifi went first (maybe 5) then the 16GB black wifi. I got ticket for my white 64GB.
