Thought I'd share my experience with the BB reservation system.
I went in yesterday, to ask if I could find out how long the reservation list was. Surprisingly, the sales rep was very nice and said "no problem".
At this particular BB, the reservations were being taken at the Web Order pickup booth, which was located behind the cashier line.
The rep asked which model (64GB Wifi Black) and she opened up a 3 inch binder. To find out what number I would be on the list, she simply counted the pages and told me I would be 4th in line.
She took down my name and phone number on the prefilled form which was clearly labeled 64GB Wifi Black. Filed my page right in line with the others and mentioned, your iPad will never hit the sales floor and that I would have 24 hours to pick up the iPad once called. This BB had yet to receive their second shipment.
I also asked which unit was most popular for reserves to which she said, 16GB Wifi.
To complete the process, she did enter information into the BB computer system. It prompted the 100.00 dollar gift card payment and I was handed both the gift card and sales receipt for the transaction.
My understanding is that you can cancel your reservation, but the 100 dollar gift card can not be refunded.
