Thank goodness! I just don't want this to fall through and loose the chance of me getting one anytime in the near future!
Just ordered a 32GB AT&T Space Gray and it was in stock for pickup on 9/20 and no later than 9/28. I order from Best Buy online all the time and always do store pickup. These are not pre-orders, they are actual orders based on store inventory. I got lucky and out of the eight Best Buy locations displayed, two, including the one 5 minutes from my house had the model I wanted.
Tomorrow morning, the Best Buy workers will see all the orders and start taping them to the boxes. Again, this is based on stock inventory.

Agreed. I don't know why everyone doesn't sign up for that $50 gift card offer. A really good deal.
Got 64GB Gold... att West Hollywood store. They didnt offer apple care, can it be purchased at bb at pickup?
Ready for pickup email should arrive tomorrow morning once the employee grabs the item and sets it aside for you. Since it is based on store inventory, and the employees will set aside online orders before selling the iPhone, only a mistake would prevent it from being in stock for you.

Yes, BB sells Apple care. Only they will probably give their statement about the virtues of their more expensive plan.
I sure hope you're right! I was super nervous about doing Best Buy - who knows how accurate their online inventory actually is.
I was able to place my order at upgrade pricing, no problem. It happened a few screens before the final confirmation.
Unavailable for pickup for 5S Gold 16 GB everywhere in Dallas / Ft. Worth. Settled for shipping in 1-3 business days via Apple.com.

Was toggling between Best Buy and Apple for my order. With Apple showing a ship date of Sept 27 - Oct 2 (which i wasnt too excited about), i tried BBY seeing that there is a possibility of an instore pickup.
Their cart had issues but i was finally able to get in & order my Space Grey 16GB for AT&T for pickup today (hopefully)! Yay!
Now hoping my cross upgrade goes though without a hitch

In February of 2012 and 2013 Best Buy ran a promotion. You had to register your phone number with them during a 2 week period in February. Then if you got any phone from Best Buy for the rest of that year they give you a $50 gift card. You can even use it towards that phone if you buy it in-store. Really good deal. Drops the price of the 5s to $149
