People getting these delay emails are all for ship to home orders correct? Anyone getting a delay notice for in-store pickup?
 
It says if you cancel preorder you can't use the credit , I'm
Sure they will charge your card. It happened to me before

It says this:

"Promotional code cannot be replaced if it is lost, stolen, or if you cancel or return your order."

Doesn't say it can't be used. Just says it can't be replaced. Worst case scenario, if you see an additional $100 charge on your account because the promotion code gets voided, just return whatever you bought with the promotion code.

How are you able to cancel your order if the button isn't there to remove the order? Also, if it is a phone on a two year contract through Verizon, how long before the "credit" falls off?
 
I also received the emails about my 7+ black 128 AT&T's being pushed back until 10/7. I didn't have much faith in Best Buy getting my phones out to me by tomorrow as it was. I'll gladly take the $200 (2 separate orders for the same phone)! I doubt Apple would ever give a credit like that and the 3 (even more) week wait is fine by me. I've got the 6s +s now and they're perfectly acceptable phones.

I used to be crazy about getting the phones on launch day and even waited overnight in lines a few times. Now I've just got to decide what to spend my free money on. :)

I'm trying to cancel too. I'm on hold with bb and it's taking forever, on hold for 30min already.

When I manage cancel it, would you guys know if I need to do anything with att too?
 
I just want to know why I received an email for the $100 rebate AFTER mine already shipped. Not complaining, but it seems very odd.

I am going to look into putting an order into Apple now and canceling Best Buy. They obviously shouldn't be doing Preorders for any Apple Products because they only make customers angry and tarnish the Apple Brand. The same goes for all Third parties (I am looking at you Target)...

In the future, I am going to buy stuff elsewhere and if BB has a better price, just get someone else to pricematch. I have been lied to the entire week by Best Buy and they also lied to me today. They knew this was coming for a while now...

Unethical and shady. You can get away with this for anything but an Apple launch. This is further proof Apple needs this all to be done in-house during launches. Nobody can preorder or get devices at launch but Apple. That is how it used to be and how it should be going forward.

It's a nice gesture, but if after expecting to enjoy my new phone all weekend someone gave me $100 instead I don't know if I'd feel the same.

I am heading to a cruise on Sunday for a week and was planning on utilizing that new camera all trip long. I currently have a Nexus 6P phone and battery life, like all Android Phones, is terrible.

That sucks. I learned the hard way during the iPhone 4 launch: pre-orders at Best Buy aren't worth the plastic the gift card they make you buy is made with. The 6P isn't toooo terrible at least.

Hopefully there isn't a delay beyond the 7th. I really hope Apple didn't divert stock to other retailers to fix their IUP disaster. They may never see another shipment if they did that!
 
So, I was able to pre-order a 256GB iPhone 7 (not Plus) yesterday for in store pickup here in Costa Mesa, California. My card was charged, but the order is still processing.

Does anyone think I'll be able to get it tomorrow?
 
well. just found out that after everything... they do not have my phone. They said that they should be receiving them tomorrow and to look for the notification tomorrow as they are being drop shipped from fedex and ups throughout the day.
I won't be using best buy again. I just don't like being left in the dark. It would be a different story if we had some dates to go off of.

What the Best Buy guy said is that the order isn't showing a delay on his end. He suggested I wait to cancel until we see what happens tomorrow. He said they had not heard anything about a mass delay like they did about the apple watch and he VERY specifically advised I wait. We shall see... I guess, anyone wanting too cancel in light of the emailed delay, it sounds like hope is not lost :)

And you bought it? They have been lying through their teeth all week. You even waited over an hour and now you are going to just see what happens?

I have another retailer in my area that has stock of everything but Jet Black tomorrow, including Plus models. I am going to cancel and roll the dice there first thing in the morning. If that fails, I will try an AT&T Store. If that fails, I am just going to put an order, directly through Apple, for the Apple Upgrade program and wait the 2-3 weeks with them. I fully expect Apple to fulfill their orders before any Third Parties.
